It had been since she was created from her Father’s will that all beings had their ‘soul mate clock.’ And it was since then that her time never changed, too. Always blaring 99:99:99 with no change in sight. Even when she defected from Heaven and fled to Earth, she held out hope that maybe one day she’d be able to find her soulmate.

Time and time again proved her wrong, though. Until one morning, her eyes snapped open as she felt a shock on her arm… Looking down at the once stable clock, the hours now read: 313,039:59:58. “Seriously? 35 years? Must be a human…” She scoffs, thinking this was a complete joke. They could very well die before they could ever meet, but she puts it in the back of her mind as she had since the dawn of time.

Ariel had noticed a couple times where it stopped but slowly, the time would deplete until just twenty minutes were remaining. She assumed that they’d entered her bakery…
