That's suspicious.

The only reason they open it is because they're 93% sure Worth doesn't intend to harm them. Prank them, possibly, since something is definitely in this envelope, but they can accept a little pranking. They can be... Fucking. Whimsical. Or whatever.

They're startled out of their work. Actually, fully, completely startled. They'd been pretty locked in on what they were doing, squinting hard down at the phone as they worked to clear whatever virus Lucifer had managed to get on it. They jump, the phone goes flying from their hands and they whip around towards Lucifer like they're expecting some sort of aggression.

Of course there isn't any to be found.

Anomaly? They're leaving. Or rather, they start to leave, but Dr. Carrard catches them by the collar of their jacket before they can actually make their getaway.

"now! enough of this! say something nice! i know you do have nice things to say!" Dr. Carrard exclaims and Anomaly just looks over their shoulder at him with an expression of annoyed betrayal. They tug at their braid a little before turning around to look at Alastor, their expression schooled back to being unreadable around the glitches.

They stare for several seconds before looking at Dr. Carrard, "je parle français ; je me foutais juste de ta gueule quand j'ai dit que je ne le parlais pas."

Which is enough of a shock to get Dr. Carrard to pull his hand back and just stare at them. Which gives them just enough time to take off running in the other direction. The doctor watches them go and, for several seconds of his own, just stares.
