To think that he can put up such a happy exterior around other people that actually showing his true angst feels...foreign? Strange at the very least. Maybe he's just used to dealing with everything himself, he was the youngest of seven sons and his father never encouraged things like feelings or emotions.
Maybe his grandmother was the only one, but even she only encouraged him when he was little before he grew older.
That's when Adrien leans against Dorian, his own way of showing he wants the other there for him without having to reach for his notebook and pen by his side to write his words for him to read.
