To think that he can put up such a happy exterior around other people that actually showing his true angst feels...foreign? Strange at the very least. Maybe he's just used to dealing with everything himself, he was the youngest of seven sons and his father never encouraged things like feelings or emotions.

Maybe his grandmother was the only one, but even she only encouraged him when he was little before he grew older.

That's when Adrien leans against Dorian, his own way of showing he wants the other there for him without having to reach for his notebook and pen by his side to write his words for him to read.

Sometimes, it still feels like a dream that Dorian feels this way towards him. He can love a fool like him so wholeheartedly? Maybe that's why he questions with an anxiety in his chest about it, teal eyes looking with pure worry until Dorian assures him.

It's why the look on the red head's face is so soft around him, tucking fluffy red bangs behind his ear.

Adrien laughs, albeit with no sound to his voice as only breaths could be heard. That's when light blue eyes look over to him, his hand gently playing with Doran's hair while he just snuggles back into him.

He knows they both could get in big trouble for sneaking off campus and specifically to the rival school, but he can't help himself when it comes to Flynn. Besides, like he isn't used to being a little bit of a troublemaker? He certainly remembers being one prior to enrolling when he'd sneak off to admire humans after the land viewing ceremony.

Even more so now that Flynn and his love for each other truly did bring his voice back, leaving him to happily laugh as the merman showered his face and lips in kisses. It leaves Adrien to wrap around his neck, looking at him with his bright teal eyes.

Is it because he can't speak? No, maybe that's what he's telling himself from his own insecurity for being foolish enough to trade his voice for legs.

He likes to think he's got charm to him, surely? He was a prince, albeit only in name since he was the youngest of seven sons.

"Charming!" His hands sign with a bright smile on his face, trying to keep up that he's still happy and carefree despite everything to happen to him.

It was Adrien's first kiss, not just that, but his first kiss of real love. Even though it was light, it made him feel like he was walking on air, making his arms around around his shoulders to keep him close.

He never thought he'd feel so loved like this, making him smile dreamily. Adrien had become so used to laughing without a sound from his voice, that when he laughed on instinct, he froze when he realized sound finally came from his voice again.

"Ah...A-Ah..." His fingertips touch his throat, feeling his voice coming from his vocal chords again. He...got his voice bank? Looking at Flynn, his vision blurred as tears start to fall from his face at a level of happiness he truly thought only existed in dreams by now.

"....Would it be alright if I was the one who loved you?"

Adrien can feel his heart pounding right out of his chest. It leaves the merman gripping his hand tightly, eyes shyly looking at him as red dusts his cheeks that nearly resemble the color of his hair.

His breath hitches to hear the words he thought no one would ever tell him. How long did he wish for a love like this again? One where he was swept off his feet, but the feelings were mutual this time.

nodding furiously, Adrien flung himself into Flynn's arms just to hide the tears streaming down his face. His hands cling to him as though he feared this may just be a dream he'll wake up from.
