"Three. Two. One."
The moon above was burnt orange-- a Lunar Eclipse. But totality seemed-- a fair bit longer than predicted. The eclipse remained, hanging in the air-- immobile.
"Between the tick and tock."
"Alright-- this thing's about to kick off. Lunar's nestled all snug in his bed, the ship's on standby mode-- we can totally get through this without incident."
"Halloo hallooooooo! I es boreds and lookings for - oh tha moon feels weirds."
"Oh- Doodle. Yeah-- the Tsar's asleep today. I think the Clipper might be resting, too. How you been, lil buddy?" Honestly Doodle was one of the few creatures among the ranks of the Guardians that Darkside actually gave a damn about-- and genuinely liked.
The little elf was so chaotic-- it was hard to dislike him.
"It's just for the day-- but most of the creatures up here are taking a respite. Things get a bit wonky whenever the total Lunar Eclipse happens." They were infrequent enough to not worry about-- and the opposite tended to happen during the solar eclipse.
