Stares are something youâre used to of course. When youâre walking along the street, people often do a double take like theyâre not sure of what theyâre seeing. Maybe itâs to be expected - brightly coloured hair, leather jackets, and tattoos sliding down the expanse of your legs doesnât exactly spell subtle. Not to mention more than several piercings-

A familiar voice calls out and your head turns to the source. Itâs your boyfriend, Chani. A wide grin spreads across his face when you make eye contact, and he lopes over to you. He wraps you up into a hug and breathes in deeply. âI missed you.â
âYou saw me last week,â you point out. He shrugs, a fact that doesnât matter to him evidently.

He doesnât wait for you to respond before he takes you by the hand and drags you to a table where a group of boys are sitting down. Theyâre talking amongst each other, but the conversation seems to die as you and Chani approach. Thatâs when you notice theyâre looking at you in that odd way.
âMeet my other half!â
He doesnât seem to have noticed the way theyâre staring at you because heâs too busy looking at you with all the stars in his eyes and you bite back your internal scream to smile and wave. âItâs so nice to finally meet you, Chani talks about you guys so much.â
It seems to have broken them out of their stupor because the one closest to you bumps the one on his right. They all quickly shuffle over to make room for the two of you and then offer up their names.
âItâs so good to meet you too,â Taeyang gushes, âChani is always talking about you itâs unbelievable. Itâs always,OMG another piercing do you think I should get one so I can be just as cool, and do you think my hair would look in a crazy colour?â
Chaniâs cheeks colour red and he huffs, âHyung, I do not sound like that.â Then he turns to you. âI do think youâre very cool though.â
Thereâs a collective aww around the table before conversations strike up again.
