❛❛ i see through all your lies. ❜❜
“it’s not a lie!” jaewon insists, his expression morphing into a pout. “i really really will do the dishes if you feed me.”
he realizes, of course, that he sounds like a petulant child, but that’s kind of what he’s going for here. he finds all too much joy in annoying his neighbor, and since he can’t cook to save his life, he’s desperate for a meal that isn’t cheap takeout or corner store ramen.
qian is far too fun and easy to annoy – he wonders, sometimes, how he got so lucky to get someone like her in the apartment across from him. she’s really hot, too, and he uses every chance he gets to flirt, though she always shoots him down. he hardly minds the rejections, only using the quips and comments as more ways to try to annoy her.
he leans dramatically against the wall next to her door, putting the back of his hand to his forehead as if he’s swooning. “i’m so hungry, qian,” he whines. “i’m going to pass out from starvation right here. i’ll be your doormat for the rest of time.” he looks at her, dropping his hand to take hers in his, his voice not losing the dramatic tone. “please, qian, you’re the only one who can save me from a life as a doormat.”
he pauses, considering, then adds something else with a wink. “though, to be fair, i wouldn’t mind if you stepped on me. as many times as you want.”
