[IMPT] NU’EST Revamps Fancafe With Updated Rules and Board
After promises of revamping the NU’EST Fancafe a few weeks back, with Pledis officially taking over part of the management for the Fancafe*, a series of new notices has been released just earlier today.
*previously, it is run mostly by volunteers who work closely with Pledis staff, as seen in the difference in their username. ‘Pledis’ username is only used by official staff members, while ‘staff_name’ is used by volunteers manning the boards. Volunteers will still be recruited to help run the Fancafe, but Pledis will take a larger part in the running of Fancafe. This change can help to get rid of the red tape and delays in reflecting fancafe forms from fans to volunteers to Pledis, and then from Pledis back to volunteers to fans
First up on the important changes is the fact that all Fancafe posted contents are no longer allowed to be removed from the Fancafe onto public platforms. As the Fancafe is a special space for L.O.V.Es and the boys, they hope to keep all content within the community. Members found leaking content will have their levels demoted.
Secondly, it is emphasized that no other artistes are allowed to be mentioned in the NU’EST Fancafe. The Fancafe only allows postings of its five members, JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren. In the occurrence of posting about Minhyun, please note not to mention his currently active group Wanna One and their members. This rule is standard across all Fancafes. (Likewise, in the Wanna One fancafe, mentions of NU’EST is not allowed either.)
Thirdly, Pledis has opened up recruitment for Fancafe supporter once again. As the previous group has voluntarily stepped down from their positions in light of some heated discussion, despite Pledis’ official stance that no abuse of power have been perceived. This is why the Fancafe have been slow in the last few weeks, as the original supporter group have completed the handover process and level up applications before their departure. After the hiring of new supporters, it is very likely that we will see more events and re-opening of the level-up forms once again.
Lastly, some new boards have been added as old ones are removed. The ‘10s’ and ‘20s-30s’ board have since been removed, while official membership subboard ‘L.O.Λ.E ZONE ♥’ has a full upgrade into a whole board of its own. The cheer sections have been merged into one as ‘NU’EST CHEER’, omitting the smaller, individual cheer subboards. The foreigner boards remain intact for international fans to post, and will still be the only board where non-Korean are allowed to be written.
It is to note that some of these notices are brief and requires more feedback, so amendments and updates are expected to follow in the coming month, such as the type of contents allowed for posted outside the board (for eg. translations). Please hold on for more information to be announced.
