admittedly, hayoung has always been curious with how hairdye works. as a sixteen year old who has only ever dyed her hair once, she doesn't really know the specifics of the act. simply that they add some kind of paste -- is it even a paste? she has no idea -- to her hair and after an hour it's a different colour. she finds it fascinating that you can go any colour that you want just by simply picking up a box from the chemist. 

so when taehyung asked her (or rather took her up on her offer because she hadn't begged, of course not) she was surprised. one, because he trusted her enough. and two, she gets to play hairdresser for a day. it was all very exciting, she explains to ilhoon when he just gives her a weird look.
