Summary:

Climate crisis, war, disease, and radioactive dead zones killed enough of us to threaten extinction. But then, in our bleakest hour, the Fae stepped out of legend and into Southern California.

Their magic cleansed the land, calmed the skies, and protected us from our own worst impulses. We showed our gratitude with obedience and, once every seven years, by surrendering an innocent life.

Story Title: Feed the Beast

When I Started: I posted the first chapter of this for @talesofpanem in November 2019 to fulfill the prompt of nourish. I used the title to pay homage to a short-lived AMC series of the same name.

How I Lost My Shit: Since the fandom was waning, the Tales of Panem blog decided to close. I also found interest in a new fandom. Although I planned to continue this story, I was working on other projects that close to Christmas.
