Wild magic? I canāt say that Iām all too familiar with the term, but it sounds to me like magic that calls upon and manipulates natural energies, like using a moon phase or a certain crystal to aid in oneās magic. That would be more ceremonial magic though, not really battle magic, so I dunno.
Iād love to hear your explanation, there may very well be a word that Iām just forgetting or donāt know.
Hmm... I guess!
For the most part, I think itās called that because itās taught among wild (orĀ āferal, uncivilizedā) trolls. Itās based on tradition rather than book learning, and typically the style changes depending on who you learn from, and what you decide to pursue.
Feral trolls have a much stronger sense of community thanĀ ācivilizedā trolls, so I learned from several older trolls, when I was young. A connection to nature and natural energies does play a big part in it, though. Like Nepeta, I work with souls, the self and the heart... My standard magic can be used to tweak and meddle just enough to have things fall in place. Itās the basics of my luck charms and various other things.
As far as battle magic goes... Itās not pretty or flashy. A far cry fromĀ āceremonialā for sure. On Alternia, if two trolls enter any sort of combat, only one makes it out alive. Already disadvantaged, feral trolls hone magic to disable and kill enemies as quickly as possible. How each troll does that is different.
Does that help any? :OO
