he canāt say that the air around them doesnāt feel awkward.
his coworker, manager, seems entirelyĀ out of place in his messy bachelor pad-- what with his notes and papers and sheet music strewn about everywhere along with his various music equipment, mixed in with dubuās toys. at the very least, heād had the decency to throw all of his dirty clothes into his room and toss out the numerous empty takeout boxes and empty beer cans and bottles of liquor. even still, she sits amidst the chaos and itās an almost comical sight.
he isnāt deterred though. and itās very easy to ignore all of that, forget about it with his eyes locked onto his laptop screen, fingers fiddling with the buttons on his software and tapping away at his keyboard. and he tries to speed up the process as much as possible. at this point, heās just making last minute adjustments and jotting down notes between the margins for himself and for jei. heād arranged basically everything else the night before in preparation-- he didnāt want to waste too much of either of their time.Ā
he hands her a finished copy with an encouraging smile-- nods at the papers as he sets up the microphones in front of her.Ā ālet me know if you have any questions okay? thanks for doing this, again.ā
he mixes her vocals in once heās recorded himself to his liking, asked for a little bit of feedback here and there-- and like that, the day is spent, and he saves the final copy with a triumphant click.
