Lu Han's ability is relatively straightforward: mind reading.
Telepathy.
Whatever you would like to call it.
Lu Han lives in a world of constant noise and buzz. As long as there are other people around him, there will be thoughts. Sometimes they're loud, sometimes they're soft. Lu Han can alter the noise of the buzz by two ways. Getting drunk or falling asleep.
But falling asleep is also relatively difficult, because when he sleeps, his guard is down. Other people's dreams begin infiltrating his and he ends up waking in the middle of the night after maybe an hour or two of sleep.
So he turns to alcohol.
He can also focus on one strain of thought, bringing it to the front of all the white noise and just follow it. Lu Han's mindreading abilities aren't so advanced that he can freely sift through any individual's thoughts at will, as much as he would like to. Right now, he can only read the current thought going through someone's head.
