A Pastor of the house had shared a principle that to this day I've memorized and am reminded of deep down when I need some kind of...rest. In ministry I've only been pushed a couple times to where I was really seeking God for his strength and help, but I always kept in mind this one thing. "Unless we understand the limit we have we will then realize that we will be burnt out, tired and stress." Principle 4, The Gift of Limitation. Mondays I'm off from work and not much church meetings or ministry stuff happens, but I'm definitely grateful for a day to recollect, rethink, be refreshed and prepare for the week, spiritually, mentally and physically. I even think of where David says in Psalms 23 he refreshes my soul that's what Mondays are for me, not for many employed people I know but it's special for me. I guess my simple motivation this day, eventhough it's pretty much night time now...is that out of all the hard work, long days of frustration, thinking, moping, worrying, hurting, aching and maybe even being ambitious and productive... Don't forget to REST. Work hard, as hard as you can AND rest just as hard. Be it your career, ministry, school, whatever it may be that you are productive in. Know your limit and rest. We have this mantra of all gas, no brakes or no sleep when the truth of the matter is we need rest. We need rest for our minds, our souls. Rest helps us to take a deep breath, step back and really catch ourselves before we end up like mindless zombies with tired souls walking this earth. So as a motivation this Monday, get some rest no matter what ! ✌

Proverbs 16:3; "Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established." I have set no goals or resolutions but I have been dwelling on this scripture for a while and everywhere I loom with everything I do I end up coming back to it. This is my challenge for this year (even though the new year actually starts in April and this month is almost over...different topic) But I am dedicating myself to this simple task. Putting God at the forefront of everything in my life. Family, work, school, ministry, church. Everything.

If I were to look back at myself before we met I wouldn't recognize myself. I talked less, laughed less, enjoyed life in one of the most useless ways ever but all that changed when you stepped in😊 People say that I'm loud, I laugh loud, talk a lot, laugh a lot but that's only because of YOU. You've taught me that life is only fulfilling once you accept the only living God who created it. The outside expression of life that I have is only because of the joy of the Lord that I have inside and I couldn't have had a better example than you😊 | You've taught me to live life to the fullest, love w no boundaries and serve God w my all, I've failed too many times but you have been one of the most consistent and encouraging cheerleaders ever ! | Happy 24th birthday sis😢😭☺ I know you getting turnt up there😂 | Thanks for being that 💡 in my life, I wouldn't be half the loud and talkative person that I am today if it weren't for you😁 | Missing you always and I can't wait to see you again !!!
