No one who buys your dragon is obligated to keep it. Not a single person who exchanges money for a dragon with you is obligated to keep said dragon for even a single second. Don't like that? Don't sell dragons. Simple as that.

ever since these were added years ago I've been so goddamn bitter about it. I can't help it. The brown-yellow steampunk colors are my favorite, I love the steampunk aesthetic. they'd fit so many of my dragons. But my steampunk dragons aren't fucking mad scientists/alchemists that blow shit up, and honestly even if they did, I still wouldn't want the soot there. It's so annoying!!

The other colors aren't steampunk at all, they're more like, cyberpunk. The least they could have done is add another steampunk looking set, maybe one that looks bronze or brass idk. But of course they didn't.

And like you could say, hey if you want goggles for your steampunk dragons, just use the actual steampunk goggles, to which I say, I do not want their goddamn eyes covered. Before the Baldwin goggles were released i specifically remember thinking about how much I'd like steampunk goggles that don't cover the eyes. And the art team went, "ok you get what you want, but also your favorite color version will be unusable to you, haha fuck you" (disclaimer I don't actually think the art team was personally attacking me)

The only way to avoid the soot disrupting your dragon is to get one with a dark primary like obsidian. But I'm not about to replace all my beloved steampunk permas with obsidian primary dragons, god no.

And another problem with the soot is that like... ok if you were gonna add it then why just one pair of goggles? It's so weirdly inconsistent, forcing someone who does want soot to use these specific goggles that may not fit the rest of the outfit. Have they even done anything like this with other apparel? Where, among a bunch of different color versions, one has a little something extra on it? There may be but I can't recall any right now

But yeah like I'm not wholly against having that soot there with the goggles I GUESS, i know some people like it, but I feel like they could have added the soot as some kind of separate apparel. If we can get scars and glowing claws as apparel we can get a soot covered snout as apparel. The way it is currently is just not the best way, not by a long shot, and I remember back then, plenty of other players were also really unhappy about it
