80% of the asks around here regarding the crepe customers are just "i am someone dying to call other people sensitive crybabies over a crepe minigame and this is my ask"

From someone who worked in the restaurant industry for years… customers are a LOT ruder irl than on crepes game. I’ll take the sassy NPC over the hick that asked for extra caramel (we’d put it IN the shake AND on top for ‘extra’) who proceeded to throw a fit because he wanted extra INSIDE of it, duh, not just on top’ and threw it at me. Or the lady that threw her drink on me because we started charging extra for refills.

i've seen the discourse about npcs being too mean and i agree, some people need to chill. do you not read books? fanfic? visual novels??? let the characters have their character i beg

I hope that all the people complaining about canopy crepes are ragebaiting. The NPCs are too mean? In an optional untimed crepe making game? Losing out on 5t for needing a hint on a word puzzle is a disability tax? IN A CREPE MAKING GAME? Please tell me this isn't real

whenever i see someone going "omg it's so annoying that you guys keep repeating the same subject here 🙄🙄🙄" it's like. you realize you can log off too right? this blog does not revolve solely around the topics you want to see people arguing about. if what people are saying here pisses you off that badly you have to remember you aren't obligated to check in every day.

i’m a special snowflake my issue with the crepes game is the customers are all so boring looking. i know the art team probably just wanted to keep things simple to get it out in time for release but my kingdom for some customers who aren’t triple basic

some of you have never played animal crossing on the nintendo gamecube and it shows (dont play the crepe game if you are that bothered by slightly rude dialogue 👍)

i think the problem with changing the dialogue because it can resemble irl situations for some people and upset them is that there is literally no limit to that. how many people does it take to make it necessary to change something for sensitivity? if enough people said they were traumatised by their emails getting hacked would staff be expected to remove all references to naomi? there has to be a point at which you just remove yourself from it if it affects you! we all have to do that sometimes

in light of controversy crepes, let's all keep collectively reminiscing over the food games we played on our computers as kids. I'm personally not in the papa's gameria crowd, but I did enjoy my fair share of the pizza game on club penguin, the ice scream game on moshi monsters, and also penguin diner gets an honorary mention despite not being a cooking game.

I'm all for accessibility options in games, if the devs think there's enough complaint to add a 'be nicer to me' *option* then that's fine, but the idea that the game is somehow bad or the devs are ableist or that it *needs* to be universally 'solved' is awful. Coming from an autistic person, if you're emotionally affected by a png saying you suck at making digital crepes, you need help. You can't force-sanitize the entire internet. You can't always be babied by everything everywhere forever.
