Feliz será el día que en el mundo no haya un femicidio, que no sea naturalizada la violencia de género, que dejen de romantizar el acoso, el día que entiendan que el NO es NO y punto.

Feliz será el día que nosotras podamos salir a correr solas sin miedo a que nos sigan, caminar por las calles por nuestra cuenta sin escuchar piropos absurdos, silbidos y bocinazos, cuando podamos andar por nosotras mismas sin tener en mente que por el hecho de estar solas, tranquilamente podríamos ser la siguiente víctima que durará un día en el noticiero mientras todos juzgan como nos vestimos, dónde andábamos, o como éramos, eso sí nos encuentran, claro.

Feliz será el día en que podamos decidir sin que nos pongan una etiqueta en la frente por nuestras acciones, nuestra manera de vestir, nuestras amistades o vida sexual, que al fin y al cabo ni les corresponde involucrarse.

Feliz será el día en que dejen de considerar mujer únicamente a las personas que tienen vaginas, el día que respeten el como uno se siente consigo mismo, que si quieres ser "ella", deben tratarte de ella y listo, no importa como te vistas, cuál sea tu genero biológico o tu pasado. Si te identificas como mujer, eres mujer.

Feliz será el día en el que entiendan que el 8 de marzo es un día en que nosotras nos juntamos para rendir homenaje a nuestras hermanas que cayeron defendiendo y luchando por sus derechos, que reforzamos nuestros logros y lazos, un día en el que nos ponemos nuestros pañuelos y demostramos que seguimos en lucha.

Cómo siempre... No diré feliz día a mis hermanas, si no gracias a las que lucharon para que nosotras estemos donde estamos actualmente.

Gracias a todas y cada una de las que siguen dando pelea, porque todas nos enfrentamos a diario al machismo, al acoso, a la violencia, al sexismo, al ser codificadas, reprimidas, violentadas, juzgadas, a los estereotipos de género, al ideal de la mujer perfecta, y sobre todo... Una posible víctima más, solo por el hecho de ser mujer, o de decidir serlo.

Many years passed & as we move into 2020, I'm so glad that these kids are still the same as before (maybe even closer). People change with time so it really is beautiful to see how strong their relationship is & how much effort they put in to maintain this ❤️
