I’ve been very absent from here the past year or so (I have an excuse, I promise - it was my last year of high school!) and had fallen into a slump in terms of being inspired or motivated to code. But now my summer break is drawing to a close, and I’m off to university in a couple of weeks - a new start in a completely new environment.

I’ve got some ideas for new themes, and I’ve been reading up on some web design-related things like Flexbox, which I’m really excited about using to code some really cool stuff. While university will likely be very busy, I hope to be at least a little more active here, and hopefully release something for you all soon.

Hello! As far as I can tell there isn’t a problem with your theme code, so any issues would be either with the external Infinite Scroll script, or with some update Tumblr has implemented recently. Unfortunately, I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to edit the Infinite Scroll script so my ability to help ends here, sorry!

I will keep looking into this, but my advice for now would be to either disable the Infinite Scrolling option so that the navigation buttons become visible, or use a different theme.

Hello!! You can still link to a private post if you like - create a redirect page (as shown here) and put the URL of your About Me post into the “Redirect to” box.

You can add Page Enabled Links by following the instructions in my FAQ. These should show up on your mobile theme as well as the desktop theme. 

Tumblr Staff’s latest monstrosity hasn’t yet rolled out to everyone, but whoever it has reached knows how ugly it is. Here’s a short script that puts a small button on your theme that lets you hide and unhide the Tumblr Controls. I wrote this really quickly so it’s not perfect, but I hope it helps at least some people.

For anyone else who’s interested, I’m working on a fix for the new Tumblr Controls bar. You can see it working on a test blog for my latest theme here. I’m still working on it and would appreciate any feedback anybody has to give.

Hi everyone!

You might have noticed that Tumblr’s made some, let’s just say, not very nice changes to the controls on people’s blogs. Instead of more discreet buttons, they’re now a large, ugly, ill-fitting bar covering the top of the screen. 

This is what it looks like on my personal blog.

This hasn’t rolled out to everyone yet, I don’t think, but I’ve seen it and I’m working on a way to fix it.

Hello! The “White Audio Player” option refers to the colour of audio posts on your blog. If you reblog or post an audio post, then it will be white, as seen on the third post in the preview. If this option is not selected, audio posts will be black in colour.
