SynergiAnimata Challenge #1 - Meat in Motion

Hello everyone! this week we will oil our rusty animation engines by participating into a bi-weekly animation challenge. You can submit your work here: http://synergianimata.tumblr.com/submit

RULES:

A Bi-Weekly animation challenge will be held. The theme will be set every first and third tuesday of the month.

You may interpret the theme in any way you want.

You may use any animation technnique. No live action methods (i.e filming with a camera normal motion, discarding frames). Pixilation can be used as stop-motion dictates though.

Submit an animation with a duration of MAXIMUM 10 seconds that is related to the bi-weekly themes we will be posting. They will be listed and tagged appropriately for easy reference.

Submit a link to your youtube /vimeo videos, or submit GIF’s to be reviewed.

Acceptance will take some time due to the expected volume of submissions. Please be patient while we review it :). It will be posted before the next challenge.

If the animation does not comply with the weekly theme in any shape or form (even if it is “conceptual”), it will be politely declined and your submission will not be displayed.

This new blog is a risky proposal, as experimental and old fashioned as it is, to share high-grade quality animation shorts, movie reccommendations with trailers attached, animated gifs, one-man keyframes, and anything that has to do with animation (and comics to an extent) in a way that can inspire us, contemporary artists of our time. Motion has been a fascinating theme of countless explorations since time immemorial. This blog wants to hold true to the intrinsic curiosity that humanity has developed for the mechanics of movement, and if i dare say so, life itself.

I will attempt to archive and share a vast library of both old and new (even hip) things animated, with the sole purpose of becoming a one pit-stop for interesting animations that will be lost in the plethora of information that avoids peruse and rejects analytical appreciation.

We will also hold bi-weekly animation challenges for our members, but anyone who wants to submit their creations can do so while abiding the rules to participate.

The important thing for us is not to be first, but to remain true until the end.
