They killed him....

The sweet little ravager, the fifth horseman is just a saddle in my hands. The son who I just took on a walk before heading over here. I didn't even get the chance to build them a home.

The words of the future teller echo in my ears. He had mentioned bad news for me... I hadn't understood his words, but now I see what he had warned me about. I realized too late.

Marble stands in front of me, waiting for my reaction as I look down at the saddle in confusion. It takes an embarrassing amount of time for me to realize what they did. Instead of rage or madness... I feel... empty.

I look at the tragedy surrounding me, each face holding different emotions. They want me to fight, to get my revenge, yet I don't know if I'm able.

That's when the voices start up again. Asking me why I do not fight, where my anger is, if I really won't do anything about the murder that just took place.

The vex agree, they want me to release them again. Begging me to revive number five to get their own revenge. That I should put on the performance that everyone wants.

I just don't know though, I'm stuck. If I release them now they'll go after more than just my intended target. They could kill any one of the tragedies around me...

Friends who have been allowing me to peacefully be in their presence. They haven't run away and have trusted my word that I would be kind today. I- I can't.

I refuse.

I will not break my word.

...

Yet that is not enough for them. They want a show. Those around us find a way to convince me, not a hunt, but an old fashioned shoot off. The voices count us in and we both turn as the rain pours from the sky.

I miss the first shot, I didn't realize how close the other tragedies are and overcompensate. Marbles arrow flies past as they miss too. I still have a chance.

I reload my gun and aim again shooting quickly while dodging. Another miss, but I won't give up. This time I take the extra breath and aim, thinking of my son.

Marbles shouts as the shot finds its mark. I... I did it? I landed the first hit and oh.. oh no. The vex are not satisfied... and neither is the crowd...

The act must go on! I try to hold out for as long as I can but my smile grows. As the frenzy takes hold I still refuse to summon them. I will not harm those who had no part in this. I will not fully give in to the cheers.

I aim again and the dance begins. Swords slash hitting both air and each other. Shots fly as me and Marble circle around the circus never stopping. My newfound speed almost dizzying myself.

It's not enough. I knew it wouldn't be... I open my eyes yet again unsuccessful, but they cannot say I didn't try. Another night... Then I will fight with my full heart.

Till then, I can mourn my son. They will be back though, I will let my horseman get revenge. When the time is right. I may allow others to hurt me, but my friends are not to be harmed.
