Here i have made a checklist of things i need to complete over the holidays to ensure that i am on task

This week i have been very productive, learning new skills due to 2 new workshops. This has allowed me to develop my skills and broaden my options of where i can go next with my project. I had recieved my feedback off my tutor after marking my rough book and sketchbook so far and have started working on those to make sure i am getting the best out of everything that i am producing. However, i had saw that i was off task with completing my edits due to the workshops and starting my work from them. This week coming, i wish to draw from my own edits, plan another photoshoot, complete the workshop tasks with contextuals and mount up ready for a hand in for thursdays lesson x

During last week i had found myself being rushed towards of the week as i had a deadline on thursday. This shows me that i need to work on my time management, ensuring that i am completely organised. I had started to tick off things that i had completed based on my project plan, this helped me to see where next i should go with the project. I had began my basic edits (black and white) ready to create David Theron edits and printed these off successfully onto glossy paper. I have started edits for Harris to which i will print off also on glossy paper after discussing which ones are best to work from with my tutor. For the week ahead i want to start drawing from the edits i have made to make sure i am stay on track. I also want to plan a photoshoot based on case studies so that i can get more ideas to work from. Cyanotypes are something that i want to experiment with at some point in this week

In today’s i have gathered my cyanotypes, scanned them in and had started to create edits inspired by Henrietta Harris. I felt that i had been productive as i had taught myself a new skill that became very handy during this lesson and will be useful to use in the future.

This is my process of creating one of my edits inspired by Harris using my cyanotypes which i had scanned in before hand. I had found this very successful as I didn't expect my edits to look similar to Harris’. Overall i am very happy with how this had turned out and i am ready to create my own drawing from this x

As this is the third week, i habe noticed that i havent been as productive as i wouldve liked to have been. This is down to the favt thag inwas behind with other work which i wanted to finish beforehand. However i had highlighted the work which i have not completed throughout the week and made a checklist knowing that this was the next important part to do to make sure i was staying on task with the project. For me to get to where i need to be, i will be working extra hard to make sure my work is finalised to a high standard ready for a hand in on thursday x

In kates lesson today, i have carried on with my artist copies as we needed to do something by hand. I can see a strong development from when i had started out and i am really enjoying this style of work

During this lesson i have read through what i need to complete from my 1:1 tutorial this morning. as i had a computer, i felt that this was a suitable task to do.

5th march 2019- In today’s lesson i am going to complete my last artist analysis and finish off my mind map on my refined project idea.

As this was the first week back after half term, this allowed me to really focus on what i would like to do as my project. After having my 1:1 tutorial with my specialist tutors I found myself get really stuck in with the work that i had been given off them. I had found useful artists which i have made a start on the artist copies, this illustrated to me some ideas for my photo shoot plan which i still need to complete. After looking at my action plan of the last week i had noticed that i had not been on target with tuesdays work as i had my tutorial with specialst tutors giving me work which was set for me to complete for the rest of the week. However, i have hightlighted this and made sure this was something that i complete at the start of the comensing week. After having a peer assessment session on friday, this opened up to me how other students see my work and what they think i can do to improve all of my research work so far. Week 3 i am going to plan and take my 1st photoshoot inspired my the artists. I am going to make sure all work i have been set so far is completed before starting other work as this was soemthing i found distracting and fell behind with in previous units.

This is my process of creating my artist copy. Originally i had scanned this image in to my email, however when i turned up the level using Photoshop, the details in the face were still not showing. I decided to photograph my work instead. This technique worked better for me and I began to edit this reflecting on Harris’ work. I had used the multiply blending mode allowing the pink background to come through the portrait. 

This is my first artist copy, for me to develop my work i will scan my copy into Adobe Photoshop and use a pink background.

Here i have began my artist research, picking artwork from the artist that i like and then further developing one image to analyse. I will do this for all three artist i have chosen to start off my project. 

As there is limited computer access for this lesson i am going to write out the contextuals on the 3 artists that i have chosen to start off my project.
