Lucifer shall rise again… one last time. TVLine has learned exclusively that the Fox-turned-Netflix drama has been renewed for a fifth and final season. The show’s fourth season, which was released on May 8, earned an average grade of “A” from TVLine readers.

Season 5’s episode count is TBA.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” reads a statement from co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich. “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. I wanted to capture olivia and fitz’s entire love story in one video, make it almost seem as a bonus episode without all the parallel stories and secondary characters along with their useless drama (there’s a total of 5 seconds in which mellie/jake/edison/angela appear, and that’s it, don’t you worry I got you).

It’s a mess as this couple is extremely complicated (and frustrating), but I loved watching their love grow and become stronger as the minutes (years) went by, so I hope you’ll love and enjoy it too (please let me know!!).

P.s.: I know it’s long but I promise it’s worth it! It’s basically Scandal but with liv and fitz only lol

I have not watched scandal in a hot ass minute. I have not had the urge to watch scandal in quite some time too. I was being STRONG. I made it out!!! I thought i’d never see the day!!! I thought it was really over…….. BUT THIS HAS SET ME OFF. SUDDENLY —- I AM LOGGING INTO NETFLIX AND PULLING UP 4x22… oh no 3x08… HOE - DONT DO IT. NOT 2x20. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE. I HAVE RELAPSED. HELP.

Do not, do it... Kerry & Tony are so, so much better then scandal.
