“Mmhmm, yeah,” Hades nodded slowly. “You know you’re incredibly lucky that you don’t work at The Underworld or you’d have lost your joke exactly 10 seconds ago. Maybe I should have a word with Aaric.”

“Aw, can’t I have that other bartender. He was cute.” She cocked her head to the side, waiting for a moment before sitting down on a stool. “Fine then, gin and tonic. Please.”

“No, the boy poor needs protecting from you. Hence why I’m your server,” Hades teased, raising his eyebrows in her direction. He got to her drink order straight away. Moments later, he slid the glass to her. “What brings you here then?”

“So you’re not picking something out for me? You know I hate actual dress shopping. But if you are leaving it up to me, then it will be tight but easy to move in, and my boobs will look amazing.” She followed him to the car. “If I can’t look twice my age what’s the point?”

“I wouldn’t expect you to wear something that wasn’t tight and didn’t make you boobs look amazing,” Hades chuckled as he opened the car door for her. “I’ll help with picking,” He flashed a smile before then walking around to get into the car himself. “I already had a teal suit in mind but we’ll see what dress you get, and I can alter.”

Score. “You had me at ‘we won’t even have to stay that long.’” She eagerly gave him another kiss. “I can be friendly. At least when I know I’m going to be well-rewarded. Though I’m curious to see what you’re going to dress me up as. The last dress was sexy but subtle. I’m hoping for something a little less..subtle.”

“And well-rewarded you will be,” Hades mumbled against her lips. “You can dress however you like. But -- How unsubtle are we talking? Don’t forget that I have to work with these people,” He chuckled lightly. Hades stepped away to start ordering a car, then gestured to the door.

Eve’s heart sank with each passing word he said. It was very possible that everything he was saying was true. Maybe there was no pulling Copper over t where they were. But there was one thing she knew for sure; she was never going to be good for him. Eve had a vendetta and a score to settle. She had plans for her return back to New York. Ones that she knew would either place Copper in danger or would prove to him that she was not someone he wanted to be involved with. “Maybe you’re right,” she said with a heavy sigh, “I do have a soft spot for him which is even more reason to keep my distance.” She flinched at the mention of family. “Could you imagine bringing me home to meet mom? I’ not a happy housewife and certainly not someone your mama would love.”

Hades nodded firmly. “Soft spots are weak spots. That’s all I’m saying,” He shrugged, raising his eyebrows in Eve’s direction. “Honestly, I literally can’t imagine that at all,” His laughter turned into sniggers. “Although -- Thinking about it is quite funny. I don’t know if you’d do very well at making pies.”

She scoffed, leaning back. “Rude!”

“Do tell me more about what you think of me.”

“So someone has to be a woman to enjoy Valentines Day? Tisk Tisk - such a shallow mind, Hades.” She stated pulling the rim of her glass against her lips with a small smirk. “And to assume I’m not getting a teddy bear?” Leaning forward she just smiled softly. “I’m getting more than just a teddy bear to enjoy my day.” Winking she pulled back and finished off her drink. 

"You’re just being a proper soft one,” Hades chuckled as he shook his head. He continued to do exactly that - laugh. “Dare I ask who the fellow is?”

Swirling her drink around in her glass she propped her elbow up on the counter of the bar and tilted towards the company beside her. “So don’t hold back. What do you desire the most for Valentines Day? it’s alright if you want to be cheesy and secretly hope for a gigantic teddy bear.” She stated with a small smirk. Valentines Day was always fun in the aspect of people always wanting something, relationships on the rocks, admirers ready to make movies..

“I desire for you to stop being such a fucking woman and stop talking about Valentine’s Day,” Hades snorted, shaking his head before taking another sip of his drink. “You sound like a broken record there, Nessa.” He raised his eyebrows teasingly. “Someone jealous they’re not getting a gigantic teddy bear?”

“Maybe that’s why she likes me.”

“... Debatable.”

“Okay,” she said with a sigh, “Maybe wicked wasn’t the right word. But there is hope for his dark side.” Eve pulled her sweater sleeve up to reveal the watch Copper had swiped a few days ago. “He took this watch off some tired old bitch right from under her. Not exactly wicked. But if my good ‘ol boy can pick pocket some old woman then I’m sure I can persuade him our way.”

Hades scrunched his face up. “There’s a bit of a jump between swiping watches and plotting someone’s downfall Eve,” He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. “Personally I think your letting your past feelings --- Present feelings apparently --- believe things that aren’t true,” Hades threw his hands in the air. “Feel free to prove me wrong but until then,” Two fingers pointed at Eve. “You’ve got a soft spot for a goody-two-shoes and that’s fucking hilarious. I bet he goes to church. Does he tell you how beautiful you are? I bet he visits his family regularly too. He’s gonna wanna be locking you down and marrying you before you know it.”

Priscilla had been lounging in Hades’s office, waiting for a job to do or for him to get bored enough to leave. Lucky for her, the latter happened and she eagerly grabbed her coat while he was still mid-shout. “Really? Another one?” She had gone to plenty of events and stuff like that for Hades, but not where she wasn’t some little secret he kept in his back pocket. “What kind of event is it?”

A grin grew on his face as he watched Priscilla pull her coat on quickly. After his own was fully on, he sauntered over and wrapped an arm around her waist. The other ran through her hair as he spoke. “Some men who own a building near the bar have just had one of their main rooms redecorated so they’re celebrating it reopening,” He explained before pressing a hard kiss to her lips. “It’s just a friendly thing. I have to make sure our venue stays on everyone’s good side, so that we get no noise complaints. We won’t even have to stay that long.”

“I put a dog collar on a woman and made her drink my semen from a bowl once,” Hades commented casually as if it was nothing. “It was her suggestion, but it was quite fun to watch actually.”
