Gooooooooooooood Afternoon Dalton Sanctuary! How are we all doing on this chilly Fall afternoon? I hope you’re all as pumped as I am! With all these fun activities and the treats we’ve all been creating and consuming, it’s high time we get into something that’ll get everyone’s blood pumping! I know the lovely Miss Alyssa mentioned this in a post a little earlier in this week, but I wanted to make my own post as the event draws in upon us! 

This weekend, the Daltons will be hosting another of their now famous movie events! As if that weren’t exciting enough, one of these wonderful movies will be the classic, amazing, hair-raising cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show! As many of you may know, it is common for this particular film to be shown in conjunction with what we in the biz call a shadow cast. Now, those of you who were not aware of this tradition may be asking, “But Janelle, what is a shadow cast?” Good thing I’m ready to spill those beans! A shadow cast is a cast of thespians who perform the events of the movie, action-by-action, play-by-play, costume and set changes and all, while essentially mouthing the words of the actors as the movie plays alongside the stage! This means that these parts would be excellent for anyone who is interested in physical performing! You will still need to memorize the lines of the character you’re portraying, but as far as speaking goes you’re off the hook! So, that being said, anyone interested in participating, and taking on one of these classic roles, please please please do not hesitate to come and speak with me! I just know this is going to be so much fun! Below I will leave a list of the primary roles we’re looking to cast here! I’m looking forward to getting things rocking, and with getting this production put together for all to enjoy!

With all the new faces around here, I thought it might be important to re-introduce myself in a way, and remind everyone that I’m around for any questions or concerns. I do teach Traditional D/s Relationships, Alternatives to Traditional D/s Relationships, and the Claims Information course. Anyone looking for extra time or help with anything to do with those classes, feel free to hit me up. I’m around for any guidance I’m able to offer. Alternatively, my claim Dorsey teaches the Coping with Trauma through D/s course, and believe me when I say he is always happy to lend an ear or a hand. 

To tell the truth, all of those classes would probably benefit me greatly. Maybe we should talk about that? [PM:] I want to be good for my boy. I know you get that.

Hey there, everyone! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far, and is taking advantage of all the awesome activities the Daltons are putting on for us! I’m coming at you today with a Book Club announcement! In honor of all the fall activities going on, I’m challenging all of you, Book Club member or not, to write about your favorite scary book or story! To participate, simply create a post, social media or otherwise, and write up a quick synopsis of your favorite spooky tale! You can talk about the plot, the characters, and/or what elements of the story really left you shaking in your boots! Tag the post either sanctuary:clubs and/or sanctuary:bookclub. You can always tag me directly, as well! I can’t wait to read all of your amazing responses!

Well…It appears as though my Sir has left us. I am not normally one to post something like this, but I am simply not sure what to do with myself. If anyone is in need of anything, or even just wants to hang out, I am available, I guess. 

That has to suck, I’m sorry. If you want to hang out, I know I can speak for both Artie and myself when I say we’re available. There’s nothing any of us can do, but I will offer group yoga twice a day as distractions. 

PM: Oh, Sir. I’m not, but I strive to be for you. You deserve that. I’m so happy to hear that, Sir, I can’t even adequately express it. Sir…I need you. Please. 

PM: You are, I swear to you. My perfect boy. Of course, sweetness. I’m riding a stage high, I could use somewhere to put all this adrenaline and energy. You’re in for a long night, babe. You asked for it.

Great to hear from you, Elliott. I think that’s a fantastic idea, we can definitely use a music editorial in the newsletter. I’ll leave the what and who up to your expertise, of course. If you’d like to write about all of those things, it’ll be welcome, really. If you wanted to start some kind of cycle, like picking one of those topics to focus on per newsletter, that could work too. If there is ever a time you’re interested in submitting more than one article, I’d be happy with that as well. 

More than one-- I didn’t think about the possibility of writing more than one article. I can do that, yeah. I’m pretty sure I have the time. I know Artie is going to be writing for you, we can keep each other on track for deadlines. Just let me know how those are going to work.

Since we are rapidly approaching our return to Dalton Sanctuary, I wanted to go ahead and open the floor regarding the Dalton Newsletter. As Miss Alyssa so graciously announced earlier in the week, I will be the acting Editor in Chief. This means I’ll be overseeing each article that goes into the newsletter. I’ll be editing, fact checking, and making sure the newsletter itself flows as well as possible. I’ll also be writing contributing articles myself, to add. 

That being said, no great newsletter is complete nor functional without an outstanding ‘staff’. So, anyone interested in joining the ranks, please contact me to discuss! I do take this rather seriously, so content contributors will need to do their best to maintain regular writing schedules. In addition, anyone wishing to be involved in the photography section of things should contact Ambrose Abrams ( @ambroseabrams​) as he will be overseeing the photography and design side of things. Below, I’ve included a list of the types of articles we’re looking to publish. Again, anyone interested in fulfilling any of these roles, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from everyone, and getting this project off the ground! 

Article Fulfillments -Event Coverage- these will be articles pertaining to campus-wide events taking place at the Sanctuary. Articles should include duration, location, and times for the event covered, as well as activities offered at or relating to the event in question. These articles will be written after the author attends the event. -Sports Coverage- these articles will pertain to the sporting events and activities occurring on campus. Articles should include times, location, information about the sport, and the names of those participating. These articles will be written after the author attends the event. -Around Dalton Coverage- these articles will discuss all upcoming events and functions around Dalton. The author will need to keep in close contact with club leaders, staff, as well as the Daltons themselves, to make sure all information is accurate and updated.  -Featured Coverage- these articles will be more along the line of human interest pieces, and will focus on the residents, volunteers, and staff here at Dalton. The author will interview one person per newsletter to be featured.  -Club Spotlights- each newsletter will feature one club or group at the Sanctuary. The article should discuss what the group is, some of the events they’ve hosted and/or are planning to host, along with who their club leader and staff supervisor are.  **Note: Anyone interested in filling one of these roles should keep Ambrose updated, so that he or another member of photography ‘staff’ are able to photograph the events correlating with all articles.  ***Note: I also want to mention that the Sanctuary’s wonderful tutor, James Moore ( @jamesmoore​) will be manning our advice column, meaning he’ll be fielding any and all questions submitted relating to just about anything- kink/BDSM related or not! All questions should be submitted to James directly, or may be submitted to myself, to pass along.

You know, at first I wasn’t sure that I had anything to offer to the Newsletter, but then I took a moment to really think about it after the Decades Dance and I think I might. Part of my whole shtick is music knowledge-- do you think there’s room for a musical interest segment? I could do something like talk about a specific popular icon, or maybe go into detail on an album or song. I have a pretty good bank of information on different music genres too, and I could look into things like where music trends came from. Obviously, I don’t think you can use all of that, but I thought I’d throw some ideas out there so that we could talk them over.

I love you more, Sir. Of course, it was nothing. I knew you’d do so wonderfully. I’m so proud of you, Sir. Proud of you, and proud to call you mine.

PM: You’re perfect. You really do need to know how much you do for me. You have made me feel so much better about a lot of things. I do know, sweetness. And I do it on purpose.

Thank you so much for this information, sir! I use to do some yoga while in California and I just loved it. While it is fun to do at home it is just much better to do it in a class with great company. You can expect me as often as I am able to come. I would just love to find ways to relax for a day starts or at the end of it. 

You’re welcome, no problem. I feel the same way, which was why I offered to lead in the first place. I like to focus on flexibility in the morning and relaxation in the evening, with variations and different pose that focus on different parts of the body every day. I know you’re into dance and performing too, so if you want to take the offer of a personalized routine, I don’t mind. If you have any goals, any moves you’d like to be able to do that you can’t yet, I can help you get there. I can’t tell you how many people came to me in NYC to be able to do the splits.

I’m very interested in the yoga. I was going to ask about joining when and if we ever crossed paths, so I guess now’s as good a time as any. I’ve done it for years, so I know most of the poses. Are mats provided, or is it a bring-your-own basis?

Hello, Blaine. I’m very interested in leading you through yoga, so we’re a good match. I’m glad we crossed paths. I think it’s something everyone can benefit from, really. If for no other reason that some quiet time, moving your body. You can join any time, absolutely. We have mats there, but you’re free to bring your own if you prefer. It’s up to you, really.

I’m so glad for that, Sir. You make me so happy, Elliott. I want to make sure you know that. Thank you, Sir. And thank you for helping me kneel for you. I know you always say I don’t have to thank you for that, but I’m going to anyway. It’s so special to me, just like you. Well, Sir, I’ve been doing some thinking about a couple of things that I wanted to talk to you about. First, did you see that Miss Campbell is going to be running a newsletter for Dalton? I read what she’s looking for in terms of article contributions, and I’d thought about applying to write for her. I’d also been considering talking to the Daltons about starting another club. You know how much I enjoy crafts, and making things homemade. I’d considered seeing if there might be interest in a club for that. But, I wanted to talk with you about it first, and see if you thought that’s something I could comfortably take on. 

You make me happy too, my sweet boy. You make me a lot of things. I love you, Artie. I’ll always help you, of course. You’re right about that, you don’t have to. You are special. Very special. I think all of that is good stuff to think about, you’ve got a lot of initiative and I’m proud. I’m also glad that you come to me, that you want to talk to me about the stuff that you want to do. You’re a good boy. My good boy. You should do all of that. I think you’d do great with the newsletter. If you don’t have any idea on what you might want to write, I suggest movie reviews and behind the scenes info. Maybe two columns that connect on the same movie each week? I know you know all kinds of things, and you love movies. I think you should captain a club for making things by hand too, you’re so good at it. I know how much you love it and I bet you’d love it more if you could do it with other people. I think you can do it all, you’ve got a lot of talent and we get to focus on ourselves here so you don’t have to worry about a job or anything. You should go for it.
