Well thanks. Yeah, my friends and I like to do a whole Mean Girls thing, Fauna dresses up as Regina anyway for reasons, so we decided to roll with it. I’m only going to get gothier everyday though Oh well, good for you I guess. My dads aren’t exactly the sentimental type.

I honestly like the old stuff that us modern audiences wouldn’t find scary in the slighest, but audiences back in the day would have shit themselves watching for the first time. The 1973 version of The Wicker Man is absolutely batshit bonkers but it’s entertaining to watch, my stomach isn’t going in knots the entire time waiting for a jump scene. My girlfriend, Fauna, she loves IT. She has a Georgie costume somewhere, so I hope she dons the armless raincoat this year and not the clown makeup. What’s your favourite?

Some of the old stuff is really good, but I do get why people wouldn’t find it scary today but they are entertaining. Do you like jump scares, or prefer the films not to have them? I think it’s always the build up for me that it a little scary and if it doesn’t land well, it ruins it. Oh, really? An obsession with IT seems like a good obsession to have to be honest. I don’t really find clowns scary. I absolutely love It Follows, Cabin in the Woods and The Visit. Hide and Seek is really good, too.
