Danny smiled back at her as she linked her arm with his. As he lead her back up to his room, Danny blocked out any possible hecklers, and focused on Casey. âHere we are,â He said, stoppin at his room and opening the door.
Casey walked into Dannyâs room when he opened the door, laughing a little to herself when she thought about how she left her car in the parking lot, and the assumptions people were going to make if they saw it. âIâm sorry if Iâm dragging you into any stupid gossip or anything right now,â she told him.
âItâs fine,â Danny said, walking into the room and heading over to a corner. âWeâre just having drinks right? Let the boys talk.â Danny pulled out a rather small selection of drinks, and turned back to Casey. âPick your poison. Unless you brought your own, which would probably be better than this selection.â
âIt might not just be Hanover talking, though,â she said, biting down on her lower lip. âDerek has apparently decided you and I are dating or something. Because itâs completely his business.â Â Casey rolled her eyes as she walked over to him and held out her bag. Â âI made the completely irresponsible decision to drive over here with some in my bag. Pretty much the same thing youâve got, though. Guess you canât be picky when youâre underage,â she said, laughing a little.
âDerek?â Danny asked, more mimicking her than anything. Heâs what this all is aboutâŚ. It made sense, Danny thought, putting everything together. âSorry,â He said, snapping out of his thoughts and placing the drinks down on a desk. âWe can deal with that if he decides to say anything. But for now, we make the irresponsible decision to drink.â He grinned as he stole the words she had used.
Casey winced as she realized that she hadnât mentioned Derek by name before now.  âUh, yeah. DerekâŚâ she trailed off, then grinned at his words.  âI donât care what he says, anyway. Heâs an ass. And right now, I donât care how irresponsible it is, I need a drink.â  She shot him a grin.
âThen letâs drink.â Danny said as he opened up one of the bottles that sat on the desk, and began to pour the alcohol into two cups.
Casey laughed as she picked up one of the cups when Danny finished pouring. Â She took a drink, wincing a little as the alcohol hit her throat. Â âJust so you know, Iâm not an alcoholic,â she told him. âI just really hate people.â
Danny laughed. "We all have those days," He told her, taking his first drink of alcohol.Â
