Summary: Inspired by the song "I Can See You" by Taylor Swift, where you and Bucky have to pretend to be a married couple, but with all the tension and keeping your relationship as a secret mission, should be easy.

-I say you are dating Steve- Wanda said spinning the spoon inside her coffee cup.
-No, she is dating a shield agent- Natasha interrupted the conversation making you laugh.
-Please tell me you’re not dating the spider boy- Yelena implored at you while serving to herself a bowl of cereal.- ´cause, you know, wouldn't that be illegal?, I don't want you to go to jail, you’re my сестра.
-Yelena, what, come on!- you said- Peter is like eighteen, of course im not dating him, as a matter of fact, im not dating anyone.
The three girls laughed that all the other avengers turned around to see you.
-Girls, come on, just because i got to the room a little late yesterday, doesn’t mean I’m dating someone!- Your eyes met with Yelena trying to get her on your side, which didn’t happened, she just stared at you trying to get the truth out- Ok then, what makes you think I’m dating someone?- you had to change the subject or you’ll burst with the truth.
Your friends looked at each other and started with the theories ‘you only listen to Taylor Swift love songs’, ‘why the perfume daily?’, ‘all of your social media posts’, ‘You smile way too much’, ‘getting up before anyone else and sneaking in back way too late’, ‘suddenly you had missions every now and then’ .
-Do you need any more theories, yn?- Wanda said chuckling.- You know, I can read minds, so either you tell us or we find out on our own.- She said moving around her fingers, showing off her powers, making you back away.
Your sisters gasped and started to chant- read her mind! Read her mind!- over and over for a few seconds.
Luckily you were saved by the bell, well, by Tony Stark
-Hey girls, enough with the tea party, time to get to work, this mission is crucial for the operation.
Making you take a step back from the kitchen island and get to the couch, your girlfriends staying there.
Meanwhile Tony was preparing some stuff from the meeting with FRIDAY, the rest of the team arrived to the living room; Scott sat next to you, Steve was leaning on one of the kitchen chairs and Bucky on the living room archway, perfectly located for you to see him without anyone else noticing.
His long hair, beard, white tank top and blue eyes could hypnotize you for hours on end, you took the advantage that everyone was busy catching up with each other and Tony still getting settled, Bucky turned over to see you, making you blush as well, smile at Bucky and didn’t take your eyes off him, he sighed trying not to run over, hug and kiss you, having his arms wrapped around you, cuddling and just telling you how much he loved you, so he decided to smile back and wink, making you blush even harder.
-Who got you blushing like that сестра?- Yelena asked from behind the couch, making you startled and trying to follow your look, but it was too late, Bucky had changed positions and was now next to Steve, which made you sigh in relief.- Lucky, lucky, suddenly there’s no one else.
-Shut up Lena- you told her before smacking her arm- Tasha, please control our сестра.
The redheaded rolled her eyes, and went to grab Yelena to her side, not before warning her to leave you alone, sometimes it felt like Yelena was the little sister instead of you, and even though neither one of you shared the same blood, the bond was unbreakable.
-As you know, we all have been having undercover missions and each one of this people gathered had accomplished one with no trouble, congrats people.- everyone looked at each other smiling proudly after Tony words- But tonight is the main event, everyone needs to be there, focused and ready, if we finish this, the mission will be done.
Scott clapped excited to finally ending this whole mission that have been going on for months, but Tony wasn’t happy about it and gave him a killer look.
-Sorry- Scott murmured- I’m just glad this is gonna end, I don’t think I’ve never hated being undercover as much as this past time.
-Well thumbelina, we can’t sing victory now… I really need everyone at their best, got it?- everyone nodded, when Tony got into his boss face you know it meant serious business. -There’s gonna be a gala, the seven of us will attend, I’m gonna divide you into three couples.
-First, Scott and Yelena, you’ll two will be a couple of scientists going to bid on the weapons these people are selling.- the mentioned turned to look each other and smiled, they haven’t worked together yet but they really get together.- You’ll be my eyes and ears down there, got it?- both nodded.
-My second team will be Nat and Steve- everyone turned to see them and cheered, since they had been dating for a few years now- I’m counting that the two of you are professional and your personal life won’t mix with the mission.
-Don’t worry Stark, we never do.- Steve said and passed one arm around Nat shoulders making her blush and smile, it was cute how even after a while dating they still were as in love and cheesy like the first day.
-Ignoring Captain Lover- Tony said rolling his eyes- the last couple will be Barnes and Yn, of course.
Your eyes ran to Bucky’s who was looking at the front , trying to avoid your look.
-It’ll probably be hard for you two to pretend to be a married couple because you’ve never worked together but I trust you both- Tony said and winked at you.- so, work together a plan and bring it to me before Saturday, got it?

You were at the hallway, your back leaning against the door of a room, until it opened and two arms surrounded you and someone kissed your cheek before entering the room.
-Hey doll.- Bucky said to your ear once you were inside.
-Hi my love- you turned and kissed him- you took a while to open.
-Yeah, sorry beautiful, just wanted to make sure there was no one else around.- he said sitting in the bed with you next to him.
-Don’t worry, everyone is in the common room or training.- Bucky kissed you again, making you know he missed you.- Buck, love, we need to make a plan.
He sighed and smiled at you.- Really? I’ve waited hours to kiss you- after saying that he tried to give you a kiss.
-I know- you said putting your arms around his neck- but we need to work too, I promise you that ill be worthy.
He smiled and nodded- Ok fine, let’s make a plan, but then is just you and me, baby.

-Im just thinking out loud but, you and Bucky make a good couple- Natasha said while fixing your hair for the gala.

-One morning some months ago, you two were in the living room, cuddling and drinking coffee, then you kissed in a way that I have only seen on the movies and the way he looked at you, damn yn, he is down real bad- you blushed and looked down smiling- I was waiting until you two came clean about it, but you never did, so I kept quiet, but I think- nat grabbed your chin making you see her- you should stop hiding it.
-I don't know Tasha, we thought and talked about it, but we don't want any conflict or drama, also, I don't think we are ready to work while dating and everyone knowing it.

-Honestly I don't know if I will act normal after seeing him on a suit.- you confessed and made Nat laugh.

-You look so gorgeous too, man, I’m gonna have to make an effort to focus on the mission only.- he blushed and grabbed your hand.
-Ready doll?- you nodded and after a few seconds Yelena and Scott came down also, making you release Bucky hands.
-Well don’t we all look really nice?, we should dress up more often- Scott joked.
-Yeah, we should, maybe the Stark Gala wasn’t a bad idea after all- you commented and everyone agreed.
After a few more moments, Natasha and Steve were ready, so everything was ready, the plan was easy but needed your whole attention; Scott and Yelena would be downstairs bidding on weapons to get contacts, meanwhile Natasha and Steve would be at the exits so no one could leave and your role along Bucky was to be on the dance floor, being the eyes and ears of the whole thing.
-Remember, we are a team, if anyone else need help, we come to them, but more importantly, do not let anyone else leave, everyone here is dangerous and could help us to get near where we need, got it?- Steve said and after all the team nodded, one by one got down of the limousine.- Don’t screw it up.
And with that final words, you entered the building, the place was full of people, white and gold decorations, music filling the room, drinks going around and tons of security guards.
-Name please?- the guy at the entrance asked, Bucky and you looked at each other, ready to get in character.
-Mr and Mrs. Woodhouse- Bucky said.- Well, soon to be Mrs. Woodhouse.- and caressed your hand.
The guard looked up the name on the list in his hands and then opened the door- Welcome in, and please have a good time.
Entering was done, now you only needed to blend in with everyone else and not lose sight of anyone on your team.
-Well, we need to blend in, don’t we?- Your boyfriend said to you giving you a martini.- Relax doll, everything will be fine.
You sighed and took the glass of Bucky hand.- You’re right, love, we need to blend and act like we are madly in love.
I don’t need to pretend it- he told you getting his face closer to yours.- I’m actually are.- and stole you a kiss.
-James!- you scolded him and he knew that when you called him James it was serious.- We are in public.
-Yeah and we are supposed to be in love- he kissed your cheek, teasing you- come on, yn, it was just a kiss.
You rolled your eyes, grabbed his hand and walked to the dance floor.- Let’s dance, please?
Bucky couldn’t tell you no, never, that was your superpower, getting him to do things and him couldn’t saying “no”.
-Fine, just don’t make fun of me, I haven’t danced since the 40’s- his metal hand went to your waist and the other wasn’t letting go of yours.
-I would never.- you told him and started to dance, him leading.
The band was playing a slow and romantic melody, the way you could smell Bucky’s lotion, feel his warmth, breath and eyes was the only thing you needed. Without hesitating, your head leaned on the ex Sargent’s chest, his chin resting on your head, for a while it was like nothing else existed, just you two dancing, feeling each other, no mission, no danger, no secret, just being a couple.
-James?… i don’t want us to be a secret anymore, I’m tired of this relationship feeling like a secret mission.- you told him, looking at him, he nodded.
-I feel the same, doll, I want everyone knowing you are my addiction, so, we make it official?
You nodded and went out to kiss him, it was a slow and perfect kiss, the music still going around, his hands on your waist, yours feeling his long hair, a kiss that felt was waiting for it to happen since ages ago, nothing could go wrong, until you heard a gunshot going off.
-Barnes, Antonov, what’s going on?- Steve shouted into the communicator.- You were supposed to be watching, we are waiting outside, run!
You and Bucky didn’t even know what to do, the gun shots were going on and on, Bucky grabbed your hand and ran to wherever it was possible.
