A Ikarus moment.

Sometimes I look back into my last relationship, I can see the flaws, i couldn’t identify them back then, maybe that’s why I was angry all the time. One time, I was having a panic attack and i knew I could call him but i didn’t want to be a burden to someone so I called my sister, who is an operational manager and manages a team of 25 people, meaning she is almost all the time on call or in meeting, but I called her, called coz she lives in a different country than me. She picked up and from her other phone called my flatmate who happens to be my very close friend who I also didn’t want to be a hassle to. I didn’t want to bother him, i couldn’t trust to call him. I should have seen this event as an eye opening thing for me and in real time how my nervous system works but i decided to continue perusing him. I am finding happiness that i did stop trying. I was sad, but now a days, in random moments i am finding peace in stop trying.

I sometimes wonder about these men, like how strong and capable and secure they are in themselves, to be complete for themselves that they don’t feel overwhelmed when their partner says he is my source of confidence. 🫶🏼🦋
