Remember Me|| Hardlet.
Rich isn’t sure what he’s exactly doing, other than the fact that he really does miss Grace. It has been a whirlwind of emotions for him lately. He reconnected with Alo, but it was like there was a big elephant in the room, how Grace was actually alive. Sure, she was alive, but that didn’t mean her memory was. He tried not to think about it too much, spending all of his time and energy into his work at Toxic Bobs. That was the only place where he could lose himself and not have to worry about it. He thinks about everything now, how it was when he thought Grace was dead, and how he thought when he found out, on those steps in her old now thrashed up house. “What would she think of me turning off that stupid machine?” His answer, it was simple, clear. “She would have thought that you were her dad and that’s what you’re supposed to do.” When he sat there with her father there was something in him that snapped. He didn’t runaway like everyone thought. He took a vacation. He figured he could do one good thing with his parents and so they went. Eventually he came back. Things started to change.
Rich grew up. He had to grow up or else he wouldn’t have survived like he did. He was still sarcastic, metalhead asshole that everyone knew. He still loved the same bands, he dressed different, more laid back than the whole outfit attire, but he was still Rich, just more of a maturity aura about him. He got a job, and he worked, going to the community and took some classes. Lately he went back to Manchester though, did a few gigs came back to Bristol every so often and he took his job back at Toxic Bobs and he was just getting back to his routine when Grace popped up in town again. He was shocked, scared even. What the fuck happened? He wasn’t exactly sure. He doesn’t know why he’s asking her to meet him somewhere other than he knows that he just needs to see her to believe its actually real. Grace was the only good thing in his life. He supposed that when you love someone and they’re your whole world that tends to be that way. Grace was his whole world, the one thing that kept him going in the day. It was hard for him in the beginning. He would never wake up to her, she wouldn’t be the last thing he saw before he shut his eyes, he wouldn’t feel her body against his, or her moans in his ear, or the feel of her fingers playing on his body like a piano. He wouldn’t be able to have that ever again. Especially now that her memory has been whipped out. He missed her. Grace Violet Blood.
When he gets to the park he sits on the swings and grabs the spliff, taking a drag out of it as he starts to swing. There are girls and boys piling in and out of cars and onto the swing sets and the slides and the playground. He’s looking at all of them, looking as they smile and laugh. He thinks of the video of Grace now, and his mind is almost intoxicated of her. He thought about her everyday. Sometimes he’d do things throughout the day and he would question what Grace would have thought and then he smiles to himself, in a sad way: she’s not coming back. So when he looks at the kids again, taking another drag of the spliff he thinks, “Don’t grow up.” Just don’t. Its not worth it. He keeps looking around the park, looking for the girl who lost her mind. He wasn’t going to give up. He wasn’t.
For the past two years, Grace spent her nights wondering what sort of memories she'd been missing, making up stories of possibilities as she teetered on the brink of sleep. Her father always avoided the issue, so it was left up to her to fantasize about those missing links. There were a million different stories she'd concocted in her head, she had made up friends that she'd met in school, boys with angelic faces and a gentle touch, and the adventures she'd gone on with these imaginary people. But eventually, dreaming wasn't enough anymore. She wanted real answers, answers her father wouldn't give her. He tiptoed around it, giving her what little he could without actually giving her anything. He said there wasn't much to tell, that it wasn't much different than her life there in Zurich. But something tugged at her, made her believe that there was more, and so after another argument about it, Grace packed her bags and left for Bristol, unsure of what she'd find- if anything.
Out of every possibility she'd imagined up in her head, nothing came close to what the actual reality of things were. It wasn't much longer after her arrival back to Bristol had she found some answers, but they weren't the kind she'd been expecting. Everyone she had come into contact with that had known her, looked at her with confusion and shock, stating that she'd been dead. Franky even believed her to be a hallucination. Grace remembered her head felt like it was spinning when Mini told her about her father, how he'd made everyone believe that Grace had died, there was even a memorial. All this time, she knew he'd been hiding something, but never in a million years would she have guessed that was what it was.Â
It was only after meeting Rich that she was starting to think maybe coming to Bristol may not have been such a great plan. He was upset upon seeing her, as they all were, which made the girl feel awful. Even though she knew it wasn't her fault, that she had no part in her father's plan – how could she? She was in a coma for six months – she couldn't help but feel somewhat guilty. That feeling wasn't logical, she shouldn't feel guilty for something her father did, but she couldn't push it away. And since when were feelings logical, anyways? Her finger was hovering over her mother's number when Rich called her. There was hesitance at first when he asked to meet up, there was hesitance towards Rich in general, but it wasn't anything about him. It was about her. What if she couldn't ever remember what she had with him? What if she couldn't be the same girl he had loved so dearly? Would that just cause him more pain? That was the last thing she wanted, he'd been through enough. In the end though, she agreed to meet him at the park, deciding to take her usual optimistic stance on things once again.
The walk from Grace's flat to the park didn't take long at all, and as she walked, she felt as if certain spots were familiar to her, but there wasn't much more than that. Her attention was caught for a moment by the playing children, where they laughed and screamed, chasing eachother around the park. She spotted Rich alone on the swings, and a quiet laugh escaped her mouth. He seemed a little out of place there on those swings, especially after he'd declared how much he hated kids a few days before. With the same smile plastered on her lips, she started her way towards him, only to be ran straight into by a small girl with frizzy blonde hair. “Careful!” The child looked up at Grace with a nervous smile, muttering out a quick apology before running off again. Her next attempt at going over to the swings was uninterrupted, and Grace took a spot on the swing next to Rich, pulling her lips up into a broader smile. “Have you changed your mind about hating kids then?” She asked, jerking her head over her shoulder in the direction of the playing children. “Or is this some sort of self-torture?”
Sláinte
No, No it’s alright. I’m just not really used to people actually asking why I drink. Most people encourage it instead of questioning it.
Nice to meet you, Grace.  That’s my middle name.
I don't have anything against it, I was just curious.
Oh really? Your parents must have lovely taste in names.
Sláinte
Something like that.
Plenty of reasons. None good enough to share with a stranger. I’m Chaz, by the way.
Understandable, I wasn't trying to pry. I'm Grace, pleasure to meet you.
Sláinte
Can’t be drunk all day if you don’t start drinking at breakfast.
Sounds like you're in for quite a day then, yeah?
Any particular reason why you're drinking so early?

Never having children
Yeah. You loved me back.
Guess you don’t remember any of it.
No, the doctors said I may not ever get those memories back. But I don't want to believe that. Maybe I can get them back one day.
Fuckin' hell.
You don’t remember anything, do you?
Not very much, no. At least, nothing from the past few years. What's your name?
Sláinte
Cheers!
Never having children
I’m Rich. Sometimes you call me Richard. Depending how you’re feeling on the day. I like Metal, you think its shit. We get in fights a lot of the time, but in the end we’re okay. Your father, David Fucking Blood, hates me, but he knows that I love you. He asked me, he fucking asked me what you would of thought about him turning off the stupid machine. I told him that he was your dad, and that’s what he was supposed to do.
You're Rich.
Mini told me about you. Just a bit but... she told me you loved me. I can't believe my father set all of that up. I can't believe any of this. He hardly ever talked to me about Bristol, said there wasn't very much to tell. I knew there was, I knew there had to be but I didn't know-- I had no idea he'd do something like this. I'm so sorry, Rich.
Never having children
I'm sorry...
I didn't mean to upset anyone by coming back. That's not what I wanted at all. I don't know what my father told you after my accident, but I never died. He lied to you, he lied to everyone. I'm sorry for that, and I'm sorry for what I'm about to ask because I know I shouldn't have to. I don't remember you... or anyone here, really. So I.. well, who are you?

Fuckin' hell.
I killed you.
Oh.. no, no. You haven't killed anyone. I'm very much alive. See? Everything's okay, I promise you. Please don't be upset... Please?
Never having children
….. Grace. You’re supposed to be dead.
That's what everyone's been saying.
Fuckin' hell.
I’m sorry, Grace.
No... please don't be sorry, why are you sorry?

Uh.. yeah. Sure, I don’t see why not.
What do you want to, um, know?
Anything. What kinds of things do you like? You and me... and, um, Liv? Is that her name? And Franky too, right? What kinds of things did we all do together?
Grace, that’s not even half of it. It might take a little while to adjust, and all that shit, for everyone, but you’ll get all the answers you want.
Well... thank you.
Hm, maybe you could tell me about you now? You've told me a lot about me... You said we're best friends, right?
