here’s that geraskier piece i was talking about!! it’s a scene from chapter 3 of the fanfic i’m writing which you can read here:

But Yennefer was a big, bad, incredibly seductive sorceress, and would not be swayed by tetchy little bards. After all, she knew how to put Jaskier in his place — she could smite him down if need be. What did she have to fear?

But then she went and fucked it all up and became SOFT on the bard. Soft enough that, after one particularly vicious battle in which Yennefer had nearly lost her life defending her two stupid, stupid boys, she’d awoken to find Jaskier at her bedside, looking as if he hadn’t slept for days.

“Ah,” he said when Yennefer turned her head. “The witch is awake.” Though he smiled quite happily, and his words were warm, there was a fierceness to his silky blue eyes that made something clench in Yennefer’s chest.

“Thank you for rejoining us in the world of the living. It has been, oh, FIVE FUCKING DAYS since you gave us all such a scare when you tried to go it alone into the fight — like we fucking told you NOT TO DO!”

His fury surprised Yennefer — and that he was furious on her behalf? She tried to not let her surprise show.

“Were you worried about me, bardling?”

Oh. THAT had been the wrong thing to say.
