Sunrise at the farm

Getting ready for Sweden-Netherlands at the Women's Euro 22!

Glad midsommarafton från balkongen ca. kl 1.00. / Happy midsummer eve from our balcony at about 1am (it never gets completely dark now and the sun will start coming up again soon)

It was a good ceremony – four speeches, none of them too long, three of them memorable, and one in which the speaker almost got a little verklämp.

Sunrise light through cathedral windows, 23 nov 2021.

A two-sun-pillar day, both at sunrise and sunset. The sunrise one was the brightest I've ever seen.

Uppsala, looking like a postcard of itself at sunrise this morning. The speck above the castle is the flag that means the governor is in residence. And few minutes later, the sun was shining through the cathedral windows again. (The enormous crane is gone, hurrah!)

(the card reader was working by the time this basket was taken to the register, so the small piece of paper with the picture of Greta Garbo on it has gone back into the cabinet of curiosities)

Årets pumpor sitter vakt på balkongen.

We’ve been in this flat for a little more than a full year now, and I am nowhere near tired of winter sunrises. It’s been cold enough that there have been sun pillars this past week, and you can see one here marching westward (left to right) as the sun approaches the point of popping up over the horizon (well, roofs in this case).

Not a bad way to attend a lecture on second language learning on a rare sunny afternoon.
