Knowing the kind of life I want for myself and knowing that it’s literally in my power to have it if I put in the work for it and the fear of missing out on it, not because it was impossible but because I was just too lazy to make it happen. That’s rough. There’s nothing stopping me from getting the look, the wardrobe, the body, the grades, the degree, the house, the income, the husband, the languages learned, the instruments played, or the recipes mastered but me and me alone. If I missed out on the things I want all because I spent too many hours a day being undisciplined, I don’t know what I’d do with myself. I personally wouldn’t be able to cope myself to sleep at night knowing that I literally could have had it all with just a bit of effort on my end.
