Hi everyone! This is my first time saying something on here hehe
So I’ve just been thinking about Okay, Bambi and made a dreadful connection to Romeo and Juliet. So in ob we all know Jean and Bambi's saying, "swear to the moon," but has anyone ever thought about that in relation to act 2 scene 2?? Juliet tells Romeo not to swear his love to the moon because it is inconsistent and that it will prove his love a likewise variable. Basically what I'm implying is that their saying, as significant and beautiful as it is, is foreshadowing Bambi and Jean's love not being eternal and that their ending won't be happy.
Has anyone ever made this connection or am I going crazy???
