𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲

yeonhee  lets  myung  patch  up  her  bruises  for  her  !  while  she’s  usually  very  independent  and  feels  weird  about  people  looking  after  her  (  god  knows  her  boyfriend  doesn’t  do  a  super  good  job  at  it  :woozy:  )  myung’s  too  cute  with  the  first  aid  kit  and  pompompurin  bandages  to  say  no  to.  

going  to  all  of  his  swim  meets  !!  she  used  to  go  bc  her  ex  was  on  the  team  but  even  then  a  part  of  her  was  around  to  cheer  him  on;  he  was  important  to  her,  though  the  extent  to  which  he  was  was  one  she  tried  to  deny  for  the  longest  time.  

she  sits  still  with  him  !  yeonhee’s  always  the  type  to  be  on  the  go  and  doesn’t  like  to  stay  in  one  place  for  hours  at  a  time  but  for  myung  she’d  happily  stay  in  bed  or  on  the  sofa  and  watch  him  play  animal  crossing  for  as  long  as  he  wants  to.  she’s  never  appreciated  the  lazy  days  so  much  as  she  has  with  myung  owo  ...

the  matchy  outfits  ..  yeonhee  is  a  believer  in  abc  (  always  be  cute  )  and  she’s  always  a  little  cute  for  myung  :relieved:

     it is a macabre comfort, to listen to the sounds of rummaging through a cabinet and the rustle of a pack being torn open, to inhale the stinging scent of alcohol through the crimson coating senses. it is as much a comfort as any other moment spent in ivy’s apartment, listening to her comedy routine and stifling back laughter, or disappearing out into the night while she’s in slumber. daeho finds muscle unwinding easily, the dregs of pain becoming more prominent as the remnants of adrenaline drain from his veins. it is a comfort, to feel her gentle grip in his and to reciprocate with a reassuring squeeze of his own, head tipping into her careful ministrations without so much as a command to. “no need to tell you.” will she take up arms and exact revenge ? will she burn the world down like he would for her ? will she accept the truth that whoever did this to him is worse off ? “y’want me to fuck this up further ??” it’s already too much, to be in her apartment like this, to be this relaxed in her presence - he doesn’t need to worsen it.

     there is a permanent grin etched into features, set in stone and coaxed into burning brightness when faced with brooke as she is now. hyunjun’s shoulders roll into as prominent a shrug as can be offered when he’s so unwilling to dislodge her from where she’s comfortable, from where his arms are looped secure and loose ‘round torso. “s’not like attendance is worth a whole lotta points anyway.” a testament to his belief that she can excel despite repeated absences, or simply a mindless hum when distracted by lips so close, head turning to steal a peck before she can move too far away. “great minds think alike, babe. wanna split pancakes from ihop ?”

     he is a livewire stretched beneath too thin skin, restless energy burning paths through his veins and leaving daeho feeling ready to claw the flesh from his very bones. once upon a time ago, the gentle way her arms loop ‘round his and she steadies admittedly faltering steps might have been the gasoline to the explosion in chest ; once upon a time ago, he would be bleeding out on his own couch, shaking heads doing a poor job of stitching himself together again. but ivy is too gentle and he does not read too much into the way he allows her to lead him to the couch, nor does he think too much about the fact his eyes haven’t quite left her worried, harried expression ( he did this to her, he shouldn’t be here ). “should be just flesh wounds - nothing feels broken.” or adrenaline is a hell of an anesthetic right now.

     it is a mistake, to trespass into her welcoming home with blood smeared across features and anger raw in his veins. but there is no other place he finds more comfort and safety in than with ivy, and that is a frightening thought to be had when he does not ache and adrenaline does not fill chest with thunder. daeho doesn’t deserve her soft touch, and yet he cannot help but lean into it the scant inch, heaved breath billowing past thinned lips. “get me ice and the medkit.” no answer to be given to her frightened query - doesn’t matter who did this to him, it’s done and the other guy suffered worse ( but she needn’t know that ).

     “do i gotta remind you you said the exact same thing last week ??” amusement tangles itself on tongue, smile hanging off corners of lips as blind hand reaches to silence incessant phone alarms. “c’s get degrees, babe. ‘sides, we’re smart, we can totally wing it.” anything to preserve the soft warmth of their bed for a few moments longer.
