wanted connections for summer !!
bailey-roweâ:
âit is very tragic.â he laughed, glad that he had someone who could agree with him. âluck, the grace of god, whatever you want to call it, but can you spare some of it so iâm not so bad?â he asked of her. âalright, well i guess i am going to have to make it my new years resolution to not be so much of a hoarder so that i can be better.â he smirked towards summer as he laughed. âsomeone with the junk might have your treasure in the end. and have you ever watched aladdin. âthe diamond in the roughââ he quoted as he looked at her.Â
âi understand. i really do.â she hated to admit it but there was no sense in lying about her clumsy tendencies. âi donât think so! i need all the luck or whatever for myself. i hate to be so selfish.â she smiled softly, wishing one of her hands were free to pull back a strand of hair near her face. âyou should definitely do that. maybe it will do you some good. you donât need all of that stuff when itâs so easy to access nearly anything now.â her eyes rolled slightly. âi have seen aladdin a time or two but remember that was in another time than this.â

If there was something Posey loved to do, it was bake. That was where her strengths were in the kitchen and it was just one of those nights that she didnât feel like pulling something from the box but doing it from scratch the way her momma used to or rather still does;Â âOh no way, well look I know we kinda just bumped into each other and all but would you fancy maybe coming over and helping me out? I wanna bake these muffins but itâs my first time doing them without my mom looking over my shoulder and figured since you wanna open your own bakery you could give me a tip or twoâ a smile on her face as she followed the other down the isles;Â âI am so glad you bumped into meâ
the greatest love of summerâs life was baking and there wasnât really much more that she enjoyed doing. that was a lie, actually but she could get lost in a mess of flour and other baking items and she wouldnât mind it at all. âhonestly, iâve never been more honored to accept an invitation. making muffins and cupcakes are my favorite thing. i love being able to make something so simple very unique.â she smiled. she would have jumped up and down in excitement if her arms werenât totally full. another time. âas i said, iâd love to help.â she moved through the aisles, trying to help the other with what she still needed. âme too. itâs always nice to find someone that loves something as much as you do.âÂ

a one-sided shrug came jesseâs response, paired with a smirk playing on the corner of his lips. âweâve lived to tell the tale - no big.â shifting his own groceries in his arms to mimic her style of precarious holding, jesse hummed his acknowledgement, albeit with an arched brow. âusually how it goes, huh? ought to head to the register for some bags before you take some poor fuckerâs eye out.â a pause. âon a real note - do you need help? spare the rest of the poor souls in this building, please."Â
the brunette couldnât help but to mimic the shrug without a second thought. she had been this way her entire life. âis that so? iâll be sure it never happens again.â maybe. hopefully. she couldnât make promises. âyes, usually. i can never control how much i spend. itâs either a small amount or a large amount. thereâs never an in between. yes, youâre right but i need just a few more items.â her head shook. âno, iâve got it. thanks for offering, though.âÂ

going to the grocery store was one of the things anastasia HATED to do, usually she would go to buy one or two things but  ALWAYS ended up picking a basket because of all the things she ended up buying and today was no different. going through the aisles as fast as she could to avoid picking too many things that she didnât need nor want which caused her to crash into someone else, the impact making the other person drop some of the things they were currently holding. â well done, anastasia. W E L L done.â she whispered to herself before looking at the girl and offer her an apologetic smile. â i am so sorry, itâs completely my fault i was going through the aisles as if the WORLD is gonna end TOMORROW. â anastasia said and quickly kneeled down to help pick the things that had dropped. â again, iâm sorry and i hope that i didnât hit you too hard âcause we kinda bumped into each other pretty rough. â
she had been avoiding a trip to the store all week but it was time and she was almost out of food and supplies to complete her latest projects. moving through the store, she kept picking up items, things she had put off buying and desperately needed now. she could have made up a better excuse for moving into someone if she had her phone in hand but her excuse was pretty lame at best. running too fast, trying to get to the next thing in life. she needed to learn to slow down. it was a terrible problem. hearing the blonde speak, summer couldnât help the little smile that fell onto her lips. âi feel that.â she said to herself but loud enough for both to hear. âno, itâs fine.â she spoke up a bit. âiâm the worst and trying to do too much at a time. iâm the same way.â she nodded, holding out her hands to take the dropped items. âyouâre good. i have brothers so iâm used to roughness.âÂ
novacancysâ:
â NO PROBLEM, â he said with a polite smile. he looked over the goods in her arms as he piled back on, before reconsidering his move, and putting her items in his own basket.  â you look like you need this more than i do, â he nodded, pulling the cheese heâd picked up before they collided our of the basket before handing it over to her.  â youâve got quite the haul going on there. if you donât mind me asking, what are you making ? iâm desperate for ideas, thereâs only so many times i can pretend iâm doing something by making a sweet little fruit salad and calling it a night. i gotta figure something out to prove iâm at least semi - competent in the kitchen. â
the smile on her face didnât seem to move until she noticed his movements. her hands almost fell off her body as she reached over to grab her items but alas, it as too late and the kind stranger already had them. âyou donât have to do that. really. i can hold them.â her head shook in protest. she really did need a basket but she had this. she could hold everything. âoh, yes i do have too much but really, itâs fine.â she sighed, admitting defeat. obviously she wasnât going to win this. âyikes. a fruit salad is too simple. though, there are some challenging ones out there.â she laughed a bit. âiâm a baker, though. iâm making a huge batch of cupcakes for an event coming up. like tomorrow. hence all the supplies i forgot the other day.â she glanced back at the basket. âi can definitely help you figure it all out, though.âÂ
bailey-roweâ:
âiâm very lucky that i happened to make it out of the kitchen. i never wouldâve thought it was possible, but i definitely didnât make it much father than the kitchen.â he smirked towards her and he nodded a bit. âi guess i will have to check it out. it sounds good and something that could help me out a lot.â he mentioned. âwhy buy it if you obtain it through a friend or something though?â
âthat sounds pretty tragic. i suppose iâm not as terrible as you. i have to move things from place to place and somehow iâm careful. it must be luck.â she shrugged, holding onto her items a bit tighter. âyou should. it definitely changed my life. i think itâs good for everyone to let go of unneeded things.â summer was sure it was true in her life. not thinking about the past or seeing items from the past. it definitely worked for her. âi suppose thatâs true but itâs just someone else acquiring junk.âÂ

Posey loved helping people, she couldnât exactly tell you why without repeating herself multiple times but it just came down to the fact that she loved the feeling that came with it. She loved being able to feel like she did something good that day and because she was an only child and the only real relation she had here was her boyfriend she didnât have anyone else but the people around her to assist; âWell you see I am trying to bake a cake and all shopping lay outs and set out differently and this is my life but Iâm just-⌠I donât know where I amâ humming as she showed her list with the ingredients on it; âI like friends in general so I will happily be your shopping friendâ
it was nice to take a breath of fresh air and have someone helping you instead of vice versa. it was nice to relax a bit and not wonder who was waiting for you once you left the store. summer loved her family and what she did but sometimes she needed a break that sheâd never take. her face lit up once she heard the other speaking. she was already geeking out about the blonde talking about baking. baking was summerâs life, after all. âoh, i can definitely help with that. thatâs what i do. i bake things all the time. iâm going to open my own bakery soon. what exactly are you searching for? iâm sure i can find it!â she nodded, glancing above her at the aisle markings. âright this way. youâre not far off, friend.âÂ

Posey couldnât help but smile at the other. She was always so willing to help other people even if sometimes they didnât need to help. It was believed to be a nice legacy to leave behind or if someone were to think of her, kindness would be closely associated;Â âNo itâs more then okay I promise. Do you need a shopping companion by the way? Iâm picking some things up and Iâm a bit lost as to where to find them. Figured you might be able to helpâ
being the oldest child, summer wasnât used to people helping her. at least not since her mother passed. she was always the one assisting her brothers and father of the last couple years. she didnât mind it but she hardly welcomed the help. âi can definitely help. itâs kind of confusing here sometimes. just tell me what youâre looking for and iâll assist.â she smiled, moving the items around a bit in her arms. âiâm not sure iâve had a shopping friend in a while.âÂ
bailey-roweâ:
âyouâre right about that one!â he said as he laughed softly and nodded a bit. âi can be pretty clumsy too like i tried to be a server once, but it did not work well. i broke too many plates.â he mentioned to her. âwell, no.. i havenât seen that before but i get it!â he explained. âi just like to keep some things around since you never know if it will become needed at some point. i wish i could say the same thing about myself.â
âoh, i could never be a server. iâd never make it out of the kitchen without making a mess. sometimes i trip over my own feet in my own. imagine having to serve multiple people. yikes.â she shivered a bit but kept the smile on her face. âitâs all about letting things go that you have no interest in. you should check it out and purge a bit.â another nod. âi can understand that but you can always buy new things if you need it again.âÂ
gcddamnsâ:
they say the last things you see before you die are the most important things in your life â as jesse rounded the corner with a box of macaroni tucked under one arm and some fucking velveeta under the other and collided with some unseen force that nearly sent him toppling over, he decided that little saying had to be true. okay, okay - theatrics aside? he survived the collision, and only with the loss of a small, surprised âoofâ as he steadied himself in time to watch groceries roll this way and that. after accounting for life and limb, he knelt down too, adding her groceries to his own collection in order to hand them off when she was ready. ây'know, they have shopping carts here. and you can use âem for free, so iâve heard. and your eyes? totally free to use, too!â there was mirth in his tone and a slight smile on his face - maybe ribbing a stranger wasnât a smart idea? maybe jesse didnât have smart ideas anyway. he handed back her items, almost handing off his own with them too. âyou good? no broken bones or need for a medic?â
it wasnât as if summer had anywhere to be in the moment but she was always rushing around, trying to get an extra minute to do things. she hadnât needed to go so fast around the corner but she wanted to leave and get back to what she was doing previously. her body knocked back a little as she felt another against her own. she really had to open her eyes and stop focusing on nothing so often. her already occupied hands held onto the objects still in place but reached across herself for the ones the stranger had picked up. âthanks. and sorry.â she let a small, apologetic smile brush over her lips. âi know but i only really needed a few things and then i saw more that i think i need. it got out of hand.â she shook her head, holding all the items strategically once more. âno, iâm good. thanks for the assistance though and sorry again.âÂ
bailey-roweâ:
âalright, then maybe itâs a combination of the two of us being kind of dumb.â he laughed a bit as he looked at summer. âlisten sometimes you think things can be junk but then it actually ends up being pretty useful so you donât want to throw a lot of things away since you could end up regretting it one day.â he mentioned to her as he laughed. if there was something that bailey didnât care for about himself, it was the fact that he tended to be a hoarder. but sometimes that part of him helped him out and thatâs something that he took for granted for sure.Â
âiâd say thatâs pretty fair but i know myself and iâm the clumsiest person alive. thank you for making me feel better though. itâs nice to hear youâre not the one at fault all the time.â she smiled again, cursing herself mentally for not grabbing a basket or cart. her arms were very tired. fight through the pain. âi donât like to keep things around that arenât needed. havenât you watched marie condo? if it doesnât bring you joy, donât keep it around.â she shrugged as best she could as she kept her eyes on the male before her. âi believe in sentimental items but not having too much clutter around.âÂ
novacancysâ:
HEâS DISTRACTED as he walks down the aisle. per usual, wadeâs a million places at once: heâs skimming his emails, trying to find gnocci in the little market, wondering if he should pick up something to take to his parentâs house this weekend ( as, the perfect marriage of business and southern sensibilities is found in his habit of never showing up empty handed: he knows how well it shows, but it also just feels like the right thing to do ). but, the mental equivalent of having too many tabs open can be dangerous, as he carelessly collides with someone walking his way. he keeps his balance, just barely, gripping onto the shelves next to him.  â shit! â he says, taken aback for a moment.  â i mean, sorry, shit.  â  he checks his basket of goods, still in check, before leaning over to help her gather what she had dropped.  â itâs fine, i guess itâs just a hazard of these little stores. not a lot of wiggle room, heh. but looking never hurts.  â
maybe it was the holiday season ending, maybe it was the start of a new year but summer couldnât quite grasp the reason why she was in such a hurry all the time. she always felt like there was no time to do anything in her life. she would never figure out why she thought that but it was how her brain was wired. she was always pushing the end and working harder than imaginable. her bright blue eyes glance up the body in front of her. it could be worse. he could be ugly, was one of the thoughts moving through her still running brain. her feet took a step back, regaining herself, holding out a hand for some of her dropped items. âthat would probably be wise to look before walking. itâs one of my many flaws.â a hint of a smile touched her lips. âthank you, though. hopefully all your things are still in tact.âÂ

bailey-roweâ:
being in an occupation where you were constantly rushing around made bailey a lot like that outside of work. he constantly was rushing around because when he wasnât at work, he needed to get other things done and still find time to sleep. but this time, rushing around got him into trouble and he had bumped into someone and it caused things to fall out of her hands and onto the ground. âoh my gosh!â he responded quickly before he got down on the ground and help picked some things up that were dropped. âoh no, totally not you⌠i am running around like a chicken with my head cut off.â
the oldest of three always kept her busy and with her mother gone, summer was constantly keeping track of her dad and younger brothers. they werenât young anymore but summer was always protective. she found herself running out of time to get tasks done too often and vowed to stop that every minute of the day. today was not one of those days. standing up straighter, a half smile spread on her lips. a semi free hand reached out to grab one of the items that were dropped. âno, itâs definitely me. iâm trying to get too many things done at once and for some reason i thought i needed all this junk.â she sighed. âthanks for the help.âÂ
scftplushâ:
Posey was shopping, she liked incredibly mundane things like going shopping or going for a walk in general. As much as it was a general con but the way she saw the world was all to rather rose tinted for maybe anyone but herselfâs liking but either way she was somewhat in a positive light and as long as she was happy then she was going to keep that up. It was the curse word that brought her out of her day dream as she hummed and reached for the other politely; âNo oh my god it was me and my silly little thoughts. I can be such a klutz sometimes-⌠did you drop anything can I get them for you?â looking around her area.
brunette locks shook on her head as she kept the items close to her body. she was fairly certain it was all her doing but she had a million things racing in her mind at the moment. there was the protests and finding a suitable building to open her own business. so much to be done in so little time. and she had to shop. âno, iâm fine. thanks for asking. sometimes itâs good to have long arms but other times itâs a curse.â she laughed a bit to herself before taking a good look at the woman before her. ââsorry again for trying to run over you.âÂ
