Last weekend I could finally visit a friend who had moved to Switzerland and she planned a perfect hiking trip.
We went to the mountain top with a cable car and hiked downhill past the most beautiful and refreshing mountain lake back to where we started. That may not sound like a hard walk, but actually it was.. at least for me, my untrained legs and my knees.
I'm so glad that my knees didn't stop me .. it seems that the surgery has actually been a success. So now I just need to train my legs so that I can do things like that without my muscles hurting like hell.
And besides all of that.. my cough is gone! Could the swim in a blue mountain lake have cured me? (probably not, but relaxing for a few days may have) However the water did feel kind of magical :D
Sadly I have mixed feelings about the pic of me in the lake.. but I really need to let go of the idea of getting slimmer and become stronger instead.
