You sigh, placing your phone face down on the bed beside you before rolling onto your back. Your eyes drift towards the window as the sun is beginning to set, casting an orange glow over the room.
You aren’t angry.
You’ve been a fan of idols for years. You know why they keep parts of themselves private. You know what happens when strangers know too much. If anything, you understand why he never told you.
What hurts is that.. after everything, he still didn’t trust you enough to say anything at all.
Maybe it wasn’t his fault. Maybe it was yours for trusting a stranger you met through a game.
Maybe there wasn’t anyone to blame.

The silence is the worst part.
You'd gotten so used to random texts asking if you’ve eaten or slept well.
Your phones doesn’t light up anymore. It stays locked at times it would usually light up with a “goodmorning” or “goodnight” text.
The late-night conversations about games and music, and long calls into the night turns into.. well.. nothing.
Chan hasn’t been that active either. One photo here, a little message on bubble. But nothing else. You liked them absentmindedly before locking your phone again.
Somehow the silence on both ends makes everything feel more real. The longer the silence is, the scarier it gets.. slowly overtaking all the good and fun memories you've had with him.
