“Suddenly, this summer it’s clear” personally I’ve always thought that Harry’s crush started the summer before his sixth year. He spent it at the burrow with Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. This would’ve been a bonding experience for him and Ginny

“I’ve never had the courage of my convictions” honestly they both are very good at doing what’s right but I think this lyric fits how Ginny was constantly supporting him.

“As long as danger is near, And it’s just around the corner, darling, ‘Cause it lives in me, No I could never give you peace” so I grouped this section together but basically, danger always followed harry. He was almost always dying or putting others in that situation. That’s part of the reason Harry breaks up with her at the end of the sixth book. “It lives in me” he was a horcrux, sry harry. “I could never give you peace” even after the war harry will continue to be famous and surrounded by danger, because of his job as an auror. He can never give her a peaceful life but that doesn’t really matter

“But I’m a fire and I’ll keep your brittle heart warm, If your cascade ocean wave blues come” I associate this line with Ginny. She was the best at calming him and making him feel better. She understood him well and because of that she was able to help him

“All these people think loves for show, But I would die for you in secret” I’m sure that after the war their relationship was judged a little. Just like in GOF when Hermione gets hate for her supposed relationship with Harry, I feel like the press would be very vocal about Harry dating his best friends sister. “I’d die for you in secret” fits Harry’s character very well. His last thoughts were of Ginny before he was hit with the killing curse so I think that’s enough evidence

“Your integrity makes me seem small, You paint dreamscapes on the wall” Harry dreams up a future for Ginny that makes him jealous because he doesn’t see himself as apart of it

“I talk **** with my friends, Its like I’m wasting your honor, And you know that I’d, Swing with you for the fences, Sit with you in the trenches” Harry and Ginny go into battles with each other multiple times in the books. The specific example I’m thinking of is the chamber and the battle in the ministry. They fight with each other and for each other

“Give you my wild, Give you my child” They get married and have some kids, self explanatory

“Give you the silence that only comes when two people understand each other” they had such a good understanding of each other. Especially during the last couple of books. Ginny knew Harry better than Hermione and Ron ever did and I think that their understanding of each other is what makes them one of my favorite book couples. They’re so simple but so good together

“Family that I chose now that I see your brother as my brother, Is it enough?” Harry was basically a member of the weasley family. Ron and him were practically brothers before harry even got to know Ginny.

“'Cause there's robbers to the east, clowns to the west” there are a lot of death eaters and bad people who dislike Harry, sorry Harry

“I'd give you my sunshine, give you my best, But the rain is always gonna come if you're standing with me” Harry wanted to give Ginny so much but he had to finish the war before he could. There’s always going to be conflict with him but they still chose to love each other

Anyways I love this song and harry and Ginny’s relationship so I thought I’d share
