Her whole character just points out how women are never fckn taken seriously.

She has never tasted human blood, had and still does have incredible self control (killing all of her abusers yet never tasting blood, Renesmee’s delivery scene and never trying to attack Bella, and having not hunted in days and staying by Bella’s side in BD2 while she was drinking cups of human blood), was terrified by the idea of a loveless marriage, is a brilliant mechanic, AND she has THREE degrees (one in electrical engineering, one in business, and one in astrophysics).

Despite all of this, she’s still only ever chalked up to being the bitchy, beautiful one and only has a 10 minute frame where you can see she’s more than just some vain blonde who only cares about her looks (something that was brought on by her parents raising btw) and that just points out how no one ever really writes a developed, smart, and beautiful character and when they’re written they’re completely ignored and you can only get the well developed and smart side of it or the beautiful side of it
