Fat Horse No. 22

It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out! I initially thought of this one as Epona, but wasn’t sure I got her quite the right color. Most of her appearances have been more reddish overall, but several people did recognize her so I guess the spirit is there! She’s taking a break from running all over Hyrule for you.

Pedestrian traffic lights

Have you ever seen the polka dot wasp moth (Syntomeida epilais)? This insect inhabits neotropical regions in parts of South America, Central America, and North America. It can grow up to 2 in (5.2 cm) long. Males and females both sport striking blue colors, with white spots and red-tipped abdomens. While these insects don’t sting like true wasps, they are toxic to predators. 

Golp: a roundel purpure.

Roundels are circles in heraldry. They are named according to their color, which also has its own lingo. Let’s meet them!

Bezant: roundel or (gold) 🟡

Plate: roundel argent (silver) ⚪️

Torteau: roundel gules (red) 🔴

Pomme: roundel vert (green) 🟢

Hurt: roundel azure (blue) 🔵

Golp: roundel purpure (purple) 🟣

Pellet: roundel sable (black) ⚫️
