i don't knoww i don't knowww . the more i think about this movie it's really just about being human. grace is mourning his crew even though he barely remembers them. he dances during first contact with an alien and laughs. he trips and falls he makes mistakes he says he's not the best for the job but he's the only one that can do it. he cries and he tries to be brave and he makes jokes and eats mustard on ramen. he's so human, even out there, light years away from any other human, that it kind of breaks my heart in a beautiful way.

i think gandalf might be a comedic genius. half the things that come out of that fucking wizards mouth is a sarcastic rebuttal to something, and it doesn't even matter who he's talking to. that bitch will clock anyone tbh
