❝ Key West Lighthouse ❞ The Key West Lighthouse is located in Key West, Florida. The first Key West lighthouse was a 65-foot (20 m) tower completed in 1825. It had 15 lamps in 15-inch (380 mm) reflectors. The first keeper, Michael Mabrity, died in 1832, and his widow, Barbara, became the lighthouse keeper, serving for 32 years.

  ❝ St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum ❞ St. Augustine  was the site of the first lighthouse established in Florida by the new, territorial, American Government in 1824.

❝ St. Augustine Lighthouse ❞ The St. Augustine Light is an active lighthouse on the north end of Anastasia Island, within the current city limits of St. Augustine, Florida. The structure was regularly referred to as a “lighthouse” in documents dating to the British Period beginning in 1763. The second tower was built in 1874.

❝ Fort Matanzas Nat’l Monument ❞ Fort Matanzas was built to guard Matanzas Inlet, the southern mouth of the Matanzas River, which could be used as a rear entrance to the city of St. Augustine. Fort Matanzas construction began in 1740 and was completed in 1742.

Cape Florida Lighthouse. It was established in 1825 to guide the mariners off of the Florida reef.
