Why do people insist on calling Kit evil? I genuinely cannot understand it or see it, he's not malicious or evil or similar to Starline, he's a little kid :( he's very similar to Nine and I don't think people should call Nine evil either. I just know you reblog something about "fanon" kit but it's really ooc... He's like max 9 and his goal is to make his sister happy :( he isn't going about it in a good way but he's not malicious
yes, kit's goal is to make his sister happy, but the point of his character is that he doesn't care about anyone BUT surge. that's the way he was conditioned to be by starline, and instead of trying to break and heal from his programming like surge, he's only fallen deeper into it. he would do and has done malicious things to make her happy, even if it means he has to hide his actions from her. he's literally, canonically, going behind her back and putting people in danger WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE so she can save them and look good, look like a hero. he IS malicious towards anyone who isn't her. he DOESN'T care if bystanders get hurt or die so long as surge is still seen and revered as a hero.
he's not evil, but he is villainous. he's a traumatized kid who's regressing instead of healing. he's not a perfect victim, and i'm very glad he isn't because it makes for a more realistic and interesting character.
