Enamor
It was hard for Yuri to focus in class when she was sitting right behind her crush; Ayato Naoi.
She named it a basic crush. They weren’t close. They were nowhere near that. Shit, they’ve never even had a second of interaction. She didn’t even know if he was aware of her existence.
But God, was she aware of his.
Whenever they were in different classes, Yuri would just stare out the window lost in thought. Otherwise she would be staring at Naoi’s back until she snapped herself out of her daze only to fall back into it seconds later.
Why she felt this way was an enigma to her. Though she tells herself it’s just infatuation that’ll eventually fade away, the attraction only seemed to remain fresh each day.
It’s not going to happen. Yuri tells herself. This was her way of trying to push out feelings. It hasn’t worked before, considering that Naoi is her first ever crush. But it’s a reminder that her unrequited crush was pointless.
Yuri’s eyes softened and dropped from the view of Naoi’s back down to the notebook in front of her. She quietly let out a sigh through her nose before she began to write down notes.

Time passed and class would be ending soon. Thankfully for Yuri, she wouldn’t have to be with Naoi in her next class. And the assignment that was given out was keeping her mind and eyes busy on something that really mattered.
“Hey,”
Yuri’s eyes widened at the sound of the voice. She didn’t hear it too often, but it came from in front of her, and the only person in front of her was…
She looked up and saw a pair of golden eyes that sent her into a trance the moment her eyes laid on them. Regardless of being a stranger to this person she knew who had those eyes...
Ayato Naoi.
Her eyes remained wide and a shade of light pink covered her cheeks. But then she remembered…
It’s not going to happen.
Yuri sat up straight in her seat and brushed off the “school girl with a crush” act. “What is it?”
Luckily for Yuri, Naoi either didn’t notice or even care about the dumbfounded expression she had on her face a second ago. He kept himself unexpressive. “What day is it?”
“It’s October 3rd,” Yuri answered before going back to working on her assignment.
Without a word, Naoi turned back around.
Yuri kept her eyes on her paper. “Geez, not even a thank you.” She grumbled to herself.
Naoi felt like a dumbass for asking such a simple question.
But that girl... He thought to himself.
She’s kind of cute.
He smirked and went back to doing his studies.
