1. The article by Mr. Zinczenko talks about the increase in the percentage of children with diabetes and how the parents are suing McDonalds and other fast food companies. He brings up points on both sides of the argument like the fast food companies kind of trying by putting calorie info on the boxes. He brings up the counter point using personal experience on how sometimes there is nothing to eat other than McDonalds and that the food should be better for people. I thought it was a very insightful read.

1. I went into writing this essay in a very dark state of mind. Before I started I went out chain smoked 6 cigarettes at like 3 in the morning. Then I put on some really angry and depressing music consisting of stuff like Type O negative and other goth rock and just wrote about how this makes me feel.

2. I feel this essay was way easier than the last essay just for the fact that I could mentally just puke on the paper instead of having to go through a delicate thought process. Being able to just write my emotions was a great release It made me actually like writing this paper.

3 I feel the using my own voice was the best advice because when I usually write I get into a very anxious and rigid mind set and I second guess myself on everything I do. I feel like I should just be working on writing in general so I can be more comfortable with writing and write more extensive papers.

4.On the second draft i wont be doing much just some punctuation and some possibly rewording. My peer did not say many things about my essay other than that they thought it was good and that I had for the most part a goof vocabulary.

1. I chose the essay about fishing in alaska and how even though he thought he had plenty of experience when it came to fishing he couldn't catch a single thing until a man came up and showed him how to drift the hook in front of the fish in the river

2. I feel that the wider theme is that you can never learn to much and that one should always be humble. Because if he chose not to swallow his pride and continued trying fish his way he wouldn't of caught anything.

3. What I learned about the author in the story is that he seems like a pretty ok guy who likes to fish a lot and has gained a new appreciation for fishing and experience.

4. Dialogue was a very small part of the physical  story but played a large role in the overall theme. The only time there was any real talking is when he asks the other fisherman their secret and when he gets advice from the older fisherman. I feel that more dialogue would make the story more cramped and convoluted just wasting space.

5 “You know, there’s enough fish out there for the two of us!”

ya, I’m just impressed with your technique. how do you manipulate a fly so well?”

He smiles again and said “practice”

I liked this passage a lot. I feel like it shows the unspoken bond between the two even though they met for maybe 4 hours, How he taught the writer how to fish when diddnt have to. just passing down knowledge to a younger generation.

Metal is a very technical type of music that many people mistake for just loud nonsense. The amount of time and energy it takes time to preform the type of music would be surprising for a lot of people. Lets say you play guitar, you have to stay on time with the rest of your band mates while still focusing on the movements of your fingers to keep up with the lighting fast pace as well as the intricate riffs. Just the amount of skill needed to do this type of thing amazes me, not to mention having to write all of said music beforehand.

Mollivirus sibericum – literally “soft virus from Siberia” – comes in at 0.6 microns, just making it into the giant virus group. Before attempting to revive it, the team of researchers plan on determining if the virus is deadly to animals or humans, though considering all previous examples have turned out to be harmless, the likelihood that this one proves deadly is not very high.

1. The point of the paragraph is to explain the type of virus they will be extracting.

2. the first paragraph was the introduction which was first explaining what they were doing and why they were reviving a virus

3. the paragraph puts the virus into perspective of being a large virus which alows it to be extracted from the perma frost in sibera.
