So, I know The Raven Cycle has a decently big fanbase, but I feel like people don't give it the credit it deserves in the sense that it is truly Queer Literature when it comes to fiction and fantasy.
Maggie Stiefvater manages to highlight both positive and negative queer dynamics without ever Once being offensive, playing it like a joke, and writing it in a way where it's not taken seriously. It's something that I continue to appreciate about her writing while I've been reading Call Down the Hawk for the first time, and it's something I appreciated when reading The Dream Thieves and The Raven King specifically.
