it's been a journey

My reaction has been very much what I didn't anticipate. Though I would be sad and anxious about it all. Is the anxiety there.... Sure. But the relief that I feel is unexpected. There is a light at the end of the tunnel I am in. Fighting for seven years against my body. Trying to ignore the fact that my body wanted one thing and I wanted another. Surgery is set. June 5. That's when it all comes out. #only34 #imdealing

So the first recommended mammogram is at like 40. I had mine at 34 and they wanted me to get it before now. I put it off as long as I could. Less than a week before my appointment. All because as of now I don't have a problem. But chances are I probably will. No one can really do the description not what happens justice. It's definitely not horrible. It's the feeling that you are nothing but a piece of meat. Manhandled and pushed around. It's not great. I'll do it again... Mostly cause I don't want cancer. But I am sure it was some that invented by a man.

So it's been a long life I've lived. Medical visits started at age 4 when I was diagnosed with an inoperable non cancerous tumor. 10-11 MRIs (i lost track)and a good number of diagnosis later... bone spurs in my hip, a partial blockage in my lymphatic system in said hip, rare precancerous uterine condition, and a malformation in my PTEN gene. I've decided to document it. Said it to a friend and that friend said it would be a good idea for me. I hate feeling like I am a bother or a burden to my friends. so I'll vent to the internet. Mostly because the next 6 months are gonna suck.
