I used to do drag several years back when I was exploring my gender during a hard period of my life, dealing with body dysmorphia along with an autoimmune disease, going to college, etc. Being in an art school with other people who were experimenting and labeling their identities was hard when I didn't feel like any specific gender. I felt I couldn't relate to the community that was supposed to model acceptance of self when I didn't like any of the confining labels or my body. I remember being a teen listening to Will Wood's "I/Me/Myself," and a college student watching "Pose" and imagining what it would be like to feel comfortable in my body. It inspired me to find ways to explore and embrace my body and existance in new ways: performance. Dressing up and performing as a drag king and queen had been a comfort years before I finally got the time and support I needed to take steps to make my human experience comfortable within the body I resided in. These are the two outfits I wore the most! I don't have a label I use, nor a specific flag to carry. All I know is that I feel more like me, and I love me. To everyone who is still discovering themselves and those who find nothing quite describes the beautiful experience of knowing who you are and being proud of the indescribable existence of pure love that is you, I wish you all a happy Pride Month! <3 You are loved.

Jam sesh!!! The absolute badass, Isaiah, belongs to @mu-molerat! Vee can't play a single instrument except percusions, and even then i don't see her grabbing anything except the maracas, castanets, tambourines, cymbals, and drums (she doesn't play those very well but she likes the deep sounds of drums). She would do her absolute best to keep up with Isaiah if he ever invited her to jam out. She thinks Isaiah's ability to play a guitar is the coolest thing ever, watching his claw-like hands fly across the strings and produce actual music as he strums the pick. Thank you so much for allowing me to draw him! ^U^

Johnny was always crying when he was a baby. Vee had passed her crying phase early on, and being lulled to sleep by her great-grandpa's singing had helped her settle. I think if they met as babies, she'd be trying to make him feel better, even if she doesn't understand fully why he's sad.

Baseball x Ballet When Johnny and Vee were around 8, they got to pick out after-school activities. Johnny picked baseball, Vee picked ballet. They liked to go to each other's practices since their clubs/practice had a day or two where they didn't overlap in the week.

The shock of seeing three of his partners, his uncle, and a rival company employee and his human son, was too much of a shock for Johnny, and he succumbed to unconsciousness. Johnny got braces when he was younger. His mom and his dad's teeth genes mashed together and made the teeth growth pattern a little sporadic for Johnny. He hated those braces so much. In adulthood, he appreciated his straightened teeth and smile more, but in childhood, he saw it as his father deliberately sabotaging him and making him look like those dorks at school. It was already bad enough that his dad wouldn't let him play football or basketball (because of the extreme injuries some monsters took and the risk to Johnny's tusks and horns), now he looked like a nerd. Especially with the purple color his mom picked out for him to match his fur. Except that Vee found his braces interesting. Most Marshland monsters and underwater monsters have regenerative teeth genes. Vee, being a quarter leech and with vampirism traits, is able to regrow all her teeth, a couple of them retractable to keep them from chipping or taking unnecessary wear. Thing is, if a tooth is impacted or damaged, the dentists just pull the tooth. Poor little Vee only got a few pulled that were growing wrong, no braces. She doesn't like the dentist very much. To her, the braces were neat because it reinforced Johnny's teeth. And the little purple cubes matched his colors, which she found cute. She didn't know what the rubber bands were for, but resisted the urge to pluck them like a bango. One thing she introduces Johnny to is Piragua, which is shaved ice with flavored syrup, a treat she'd get from the Marshland Boardwalk whenever the piraguero was out with his cart. The ice would ease the aches and be a pick-me-up after a hard day at the dentist.

Pumped this out in 5 days as a challenge to myself after a funny conversation between me and @bread-bastard about Vernon and Vee in the human world. Vernon W.
