Just an angry potato

there are 5 major aspects in which this type of thought pisses me off

1) its victim blaming in genuine full honesty. it is blaming bi and het women who are abused by males for choosing to pursue relationships bc they are trusting of their partners, they deserve to be able to find a loving partner just as much as anyone else and are not in the wrong for trusting their loved ones not to hurt them. as well as I have seen little to no offering genuine or non halfassed advice on how het women can live fulfilling lives without males or male relationships

2) it genuinely belittles the intelligence of both bi women and het women acting as if they are stupid and unable to act for themselves in order to demand to be respected in a relationship but in the same breath has no sympathy for them.

3) acts as if being heterosexual and wishing to have fulfilling relationships as such is a moral failing and a personal choice of the female in question when they have no more power over it than a lesbian existing as a lesbian (this is what bothers me the most but mostly bc of personal baggage I have)

4) idk if its my place to say this as a het but genuinely if someone was said “just dont date girls if u dont want to be oppressed for being gay!” it would (rightfully) be labeled as homophobic but if someone was to say “if you dont want to be oppressed for being a female just dont date a male!” and thats somehow totally okay and not at all victim blaming?

5) relating back to point one it deflects the blame of bad heterosexual relationships onto the female instead of addressing the problem at its root which is (mainly heterosexual) males and refuses to genuinely hold males accountable for their actions

“Why an exclusive bi female space? Why not make it a wlw site?”

Bisexual women go through very unique experiences; from the times we are made aware of our attractions, to the times we stay closeted out of fear of biphobic misconceptions, clumsily dating and partnering up with people who find bi people disgusting, and the pain of having to explain to them who you are, the domestic violence rate we face in regards to dating gross men who don’t think we are human enough for basic respect, being kicked out of our homes after being found out, feeling second best in the dating world where our sexuality is seen as something to be disgusted by or to exploit, not feeling like we fit in wherever we go because of our orientation, and so on… It feels good to go somewhere where who you are isn’t just something to be ashamed of or to put it away to make other people comfortable, but something worthy to celebrate with another person!
