To anyone else who is going no contact, I know it is the hardest thing in the world. Something in our reptilian brain urges for the connection with our parents, in a way that runs past logic. I broke no contact a couple of days ago to share some urgent family news. She steered away from her usual tactics of attack and name calling, and tried instead to use the tactic of guilt and shame. I am deeply disappointed in myself for letting my guard down…and the countdown starts again from day 1. #nocontact #nocontactwithparent
