Are all these investments in AI expecting this problem to be solved near term? If so, that could be the bubble.
GenAI is super impressive and anything that involves generating and interpreting text, images and video with more text, images or video can expect disruption. But in my uneducated understanding, robot navigation and even more so, manipulation seems to be a qualitatively different problem. And my gut tells me Tesla's "video" only approach will turn out to be wrong. I expect it to take more than vision to solve.

Keynes would be very disappointed that these productivity gains are squandered with yet more work.
More than one-fifth of the survey respondents said they would rather hide that hour than give managers a reason to expect more. Cue the Zillow browsing while pretending to work and other forms of “productivity theater.”
Without a resetting of expectations around productivity etc. these AI productivity gains incentivize yet more productivity theater.
But pared-down schedules remain far from mainstream. For that to change, workers might first have to be pushed to their breaking points. Companies will respond if—perhaps only if—their AI productivity drives backfire.
Hopefully, it doesn't come to mass burnout from the few left who manage to keep their jobs for us to come up with a better plan.

There are countless AI tools available to help teachers with lesson planning, student engagement, and supporting deeper thinking.
I've seen a lot of folks pointing out that these llm chat tools generate a lot of "Yes sir!" and "Aren't you the greatest thinker ever?" cheerleader content. I wonder if there's a way to prompt them into challenging you and helping you to develop critical thinking. They'd never give you the whole answer and everything would be like a Socratic dialogue. Instead of answering you, they'd ask more questions.
And the end of civilisation
As tech companies wipe out literacy and middle class jobs, we may find ourselves a second feudal age.
Maybe we don't even need AI to make us all dumb. TikTok is already doing a good enough job.
Or perhaps AI is just the next evolution of technology, whose conspiratorial mission is to make us dumber and dumber and easier and easier for the cognitive elite, the technocratic aristocracy, to rule over us all.

Assuming AI doesn't kill us all, and less deadly alternative is that it makes most of us nincompoops.
